Four Seasons, seconds, flicker, and flash, I'm alone.
A lonely scream provides the scene - it's no hope.
Every night I hear you scream, but you don't say what you mean.
This was my dream, but now my dream has flown.

I'm at the crossroads, waiting for a sign.
My life is standing still, but I'm still alive.
Every night I think I know,
In the morning where did it go?
The answers disappear when I open my eyes.

I'm a stranger to this place, where real life and dreams collide.
And even though I fall from grace, I will keep the dream alive.
I will keep the dream alive.

Four Seasons, seconds, flicker, and flash, I'm alone.
A lonely scream provides the scene - it's no hope.
Every night I hear you scream, but you don't say what you mean.
This was my dream, but now my dream has flown.

I'm a stranger to this place, where real life and dreams collide.
And even though I fall from grace, I will keep the dream alive.
I'm a stranger to this place, where real life and dreams collide.
And even though I fall from grace, I will keep the dream alive.

General Comment:This album is so sadly underrated. It's a good hear! I re-discovered this song and was totally surprised by how mature this song sounds. The chorus sounds epic, a little cinematic too.

General Comment:'justadub', yeah thats basically it...similar to my own personal interpretation. I always find this song uplifting when im feeling down. Not one of my favourite oasis songs, but like most other songs they've done, I still listen to them and find them ok.

General Comment:An inspiring song really. I think this song means; chase your dreams no matter what people do to bring you down.

General Comment:To me this song is about wanting something or someone and the only time you can actually be with them is when you are dreaming and when you wake up in the morning you realize you are not with them but you never give up trying to be with them...keeping the dream alive. And the no stranger to this place bit makes me think that this person has been going through this for quite some time that they are almost used to it but not willing to accept that things may be different someday.

General Comment:this song relates to me alot...i think it;s realising that something or someone you hold really close to you might be gone but you won;t except it and will do anything to have it back or keep it with you

General Comment:I think this is a fantastic song.

'Every night I think I know
in the morning where did it go
The answers disappear when I open my eyes'

these few lines put into words something that i've never found words for before...like at night when you have all these amazing ideas about what you're gonna do and then you wake up and those ideas seem ridiculous...

and i really relate to 'I’m no stranger to this place
Where real life and dreams colide'

great song from a great band x

    General Comment:great great song...

hehe does anyone else think that the
'Every night I hear you scream
But you don’t say what you mean'
bit is referring to women faking orgasms?

    ......probably not

General Comment:Applying this song to people and now, I believe this song is about a "standby" kind of phase in ones life, where a choice has to be made but cannot due to lack of courage or fear of embarassment- could be the choice of a special someone or something of that manner. Then...

"I'm no stranger to this place
Where real life and dreams colide
and even though I fall from grace
I will keep the dream alive"

I think that section is talking about making the choice and putting it into action and not succeeded, but "even though I fall from grace, I will keep the dream alive..."

General Comment:Definitely a John Lennon memorial-esque song. Great song cause its by Oasis but I don't love it. I don't think it follows "Part of the queue" well.

General Comment:This is a great tune of DBTT, I 've always perceived that the lyrics had a simple meaning of going through troubled times but at the same time keeping some faith and keeping the dream alive in which hopefuly one day thing will turn out right. I listen to this quite alot especially when things don't go right for me and it acts as a release, with the tune making me feel better than I did before. Andy Bell's lyrics should feature more on the next Oasis albums cos from this he's righting some top lyrics which people can easily relate to.
