Alone in this house again tonight
I got the TV on, the sound turned down and a bottle of wine
There's pictures of you and I on the walls around me
The way that it was and could have been surrounds me
I'll never get over you walkin' away

[Chorus]
I've never been the kind to ever let my feelings show
And I thought that bein' strong meant never losin' your self-control
But I'm just drunk enough to let go of my pain
To hell with my pride, let it fall like rain
From my eyes
Tonight I want to cry

Would it help if I turned a sad song on
"All By Myself" would sure hit me hard now that you're gone
Or maybe unfold some old yellow lost love letters
It's gonna hurt bad before it gets better
But I'll never get over you by hidin' this way

[Chorus: x2]

General Comment:this song is so amazing.
it's about a lost love and he's been bottling up his emotions and on that night, he's letting them all spill over.
this is a great song to listen to when you just need to cry and/or mourn.

General Comment:It's a sad song about wallowing for your ex.

-I feel like crying tonight. With how things have been with me, yeah, my life's a mess and almost every night is described on this song perfectly. Although wallowing and being stuck over someone isn't exactly the right way to handle things, sometimes a good cry is needed.

General Comment:It's always a break from heartbreak when you get drunk and you realize what happened to what was a beautiful relationship, and especially if there is visible evidence in your house that it was once real, you always have to find a way to let go of your misery by having the strongest reaction to it. It's a really nice song to have when times are rough.

General Comment:This is such a great song.

    "But I'm just drunk enough
To let go of my pain
    To hell with my pride
Let it fall like rain from my eyes
    Tonight I wanna cry."

This is what I think of every time i'm drunk and about to call an ex girlfriend. To me it kinda seems like he is ready to tell his ex how he feels about everything.

General Comment:This song is so good. Its sad; but in a good way. This is the song on my myspace. I love it. It explains everything a person goes through; pretty much.

General Comment:I like this song. It makes me feel like I have no life...I've been there, sitting around at night drinking wine, watching TV, having no life. Fun. Depressing. :(

General Comment:I bet when he first wrote this it was "swallow my pride," and then he changed it to "to hell with my pride" when he realized it was cliche.
