Lyrics for Wow, I Can Get Sexual Too as interpreted by AllStarMe

Wow, I Can Get Sexual Too Lyrics
If I die and go to hell real soon
It will appear to me as this room
And for eternity I'd lay in bed
In my boxers, half stoned
With the pillow under my head

I'd be chatting on the interweb
Maggots prey upon the living dead
I had no interest in the things she said
On the phone every day
I'll permanently hit the hay

I called her on the phone
And she touched herself
I laughed myself to sleep

At this rate I'll be heading for electric chairs
I'm only human with my cross to bear
When she described her underwear
I forgot all the rules
My rabbi taught me in the old shul
You're too young to be this empty, girl
I'll prepare you for a sick dark world
Know that you'll be my downfall
But I call and I call and I call

I don't know what I want
(I met you on the internet)

This song is funny.
I think the story is pretty obvious. Phone sex and all.
My favourite line is ''When she described her underwear I forgot all the rules my rabbi taught me in the old school.''

I thought this song was called "Wow, I can be sexual too."

And I think "if for enternity i'd lay in bed" is AND for eternity I'd lay in bed, because he's describing what hell would be like.

The last verse bothered me cause of what i went through myself with a girlfriend. I never paid for phone sex, but i was with a girl 3 years younger than me and we had phone sex every night. She was underage and i was 19, so i felt like I really was "headed to the electric chair.

But the funny thing is that we would talk about how her doing these things was a little risque for her age ("you're too young to be this empty"). But we would also say that maybe I'm breaking her out of her bubble ("prepare you for a sick dark wolrd"). Eventually though, she sorta was "my downfall". I never got in trouble...but i was frowned upon by my peers when we were exposed.

i adore this song. I keep singing it around school and people give me really weird looks. It really is the best, most catchy song I have heard in a long time. And the theme... well why not?

in repsonse to my last message, i found a bio the singer wrote on yahoo music profile and he said this, sort-of clarifying what i mentioned earlier.

"We decided to record the songs for the "rock opera" first and then record the plot between the songs with speaking parts and a full cast of our friends. However, the process of playing all the instruments except for drums and singing all day turned into such an intense, draining process that I ended up wandering the streets of Brooklyn in a psychotic daze and getting thrown into the loony bin for two weeks.

Needless to say, that sucked, so we parted with the idea of the "plot" portion of the record and decided we could make a much more concise record if we focused on just the music; after all, the songs told the story themselves. So Tim O'Heir (produced Sebadoh, Dinosaur Jr., Superdrag) and Stephen Trask (wrote the songs for/produced Hedwig & The Angry Inch) helped me create a debut record (entitled Say Anything … Is A Real Boy) that I am truly proud of. It may even cure cancer. As for Coby and I, we, as well as new Say Anything members Casper Adams (ex-National Acrobat, guitar) and Kevin Seaton (ex-Everybody Else, bass) will be coming to your town with the hopes of kissing you all over your neck until you can't take it anymore and finish quite early.

Gosh I love the beat so much in this song, it's a shame...it couldn't be a little more profound, or at least something you could blast on the stereo (comfortably). Did anyone else catch that right after he said "I'm only human with my cross to bear" he adds "I forgot all the rules my rabbi..." I wonder if they did that on purpose?...

It's about phone-sex. it's pretty much making a mockery of it. but, also he's saying that cyber-sex and phone-sex are just another way to get off. he finds it funny.

I can see why you all think its about phone sex, but that would mean that hes touching himself too, which is never mentioned in the song (possibly implied, but w/e). This boy is very fuckin typical, but in a depressing way, he trapped in the hell that is this room, the room which he resides in nightly, no matter what, and this girl who he finds amusing, intriguing, and sexy, that he can't stop calling. In these situations we all like to think we're in control, laughing at the things that normally would draw us in, but we slowly lose control as these seemingly harmless activities (weed, AIM, getting girlies randy over the phone) become routines. This song reminds me a ton of Pool Shark by Sublime, where he talks about how heroin "used to be so cool" and he might be in control now but "someday I'm gonna lose the war" which we all know he did. No matter the activities we happen to choose to fill up our lives, they all are inevitably our downfall, and in the end we "dont know what we want"
in regards to "youre too young to be this empty girl" there has been a trend that is being noticed recently with each generation of people learning the truth about the "sick world" at younger and younger ages, even in so called sheltered, suburban homes. I think its the internet, and I'm blaming anything or anyone cuz its nothing to blame anyone over. But there are so many of these young and empty girls, who are so dark and amusing and intriguing that us jewish boys cant stop laughing over.
This song is in my top FIVE sooooo fucking good, yeah?

I find the lyrical content, and the actual music nice to listen to, but I just can't STAND the horribly American forced voice. It really puts me off.

Just, way too much.
