wee, ~laughter~
hurry up, no
hurry up, huh

it started like a stone
i grew it out but then i rested it
i found sweet road
it came announced on the right
i left my purse then found the road

i'm tainted in a patchy problem
none can tell what i can tell ya
let them eagles have good times
it's a road and not a soda

i found sweet road,
i found sweet road

it started like a stone
i grew it out but then i rested it
i found sweet road
it came out of us on the right
i left my purse then found the road

    General Comment:The song has a simple, childlike dream logic. Put down your burdens (stones, purse, guilt, worry, materialism, status, the blahs) and the sweet road of life will roll out before you.

    General Comment:If you don't listen to this album stoned, you're just scraping the top of how great it is. You feel the harmonies and the beats rollick over you. It's one of the most pleasant experiences I can recall. The nuances in rhythm and pitch throw you a loop. It's a journey through life.

    General Comment:what about all that *higher* stuff?
    sounds like maybe
    higher
    one sweep up
    higher
    one sweep up
    higher one sweep up higher one sweep up higher
    or maybe one sweet papaya hahaha

    maybe not at all, maybe it's just sounds...but that's how i've always heard it.

    also, i would like to say that i don't understand why someone (that northstar person) who doesn't like this song would take the time to look at it on here and then comment, saying it's stupid
    it just seems instigating, and silly
    especially for a song like this which is just generally, in my opinion, very pleasant and likable....it's a fun song.

    General Comment:i think its about someone who had a recent relationship which didn't work out, who then meet another person and thought it wouldn't work out at first, but then waited on it and found it would be nice, then left the old things behind them.

    General Comment:Well the song's meter is in groups of 3, 3, 3, 4, so it's pretty much in 13 time. That is, until it goes into "I found sweet road I found sweet road I found sweet road" with no musical breaks inbetween them then it's just in 6.

    As for the lyrics, I don't really know. Like, at all.

    General Comment:Not a huge difference, but this is what I hear. I think it makes a bit more sense . . .

    It started like a storm
    I grew it out, but then reversed it
    I found sweet road
    {It came when I was in a rut}
    I left my purse, but found the road.

    I'm planted in a patch of problems
    {None can tell what I can tell ya}
    Let the eagles have a good time
    {It's a road and not a soda}

    I found sweet road

    It started like a storm
    I grew it out, but then reversed it
    I found sweet road
    It came when I was in a rut
    I left my purse, but found the road.

    p.s. Northstar is a huge douchebag
