however i think that there is too much emphasis placed on being experimental, you can be a genius without acting 'weird' or ott, i think thats a shallow way of looking at things

i live in chalfont st giles which is the same village as noel gallagher!

Noel needs to Be Here Now and realise that he's no longer Standing on the Shouldar of Giants. The Masterplan has come and gone and there's no Definitely Maybe that any amount of Heathen Chemistry is going to save his dying band.

Do u anti-oasis fans even know that coldplay recently performed a show in london that featured oasis new single Lyla. Yes thats right u dumb fucks, coldplay covered an oasis song. WOW In my book, that means coldplay are honoring oasis. If u Don't Belive the Truth (Damobi u forgot that one) check out NME.com Its all there. Chris Martin actually fell trying to reach Noel. HA! I like coldplay, but u got to be fuckin kidding me that they are better then oasis. Even check the sales tickets for the shows. oh by the way Spiritofthestreet. If u want to listen to an oasis album that is experimental, it would be 2000's Standing On the Shoulder of Giants. One of the most pyshadelic albums in recent years. Don't post anything on here if u have no fucking clue what ur talking about. Name an oasis song that is experimental? Try a whole fucking album dumbass. Don't post shit like that here again.

oh my, verbal violence in the oasis thread. anyway, i personally like coldplay and radiohead much better. and in my city coldplay tickets are going for $300US to the upcoming concert... and the show sold out in 3 minutes. so oasis selling out in "days" isnt so impressive. bwe, i came over to this section because the radiohead posts were getting too depressing. but this one isnt so cheery anyway. meh. im going to go listen to jojo. she soo doenst look like a boy.

It appears that some oasis fans are just plain thugs. You never get abuse like that on the radiohead posts. Mind you when the lead singer of your favourite band is an arrogant thug, i suppose you feel the need to mimick him. Oh and if you're going to threaten me, at least do it articulately. You have never "met" me in your life. The vast majority of Oasis songs are very similar to one another, and the new album looks like it's going that way to. Most radiohead b-sides are better than this song.

And someone just had a go at me for posting about something i know nothing about! Wow.
Creep - he hates the world. Wrong. Actually that song is about a guy who is crazy about a girl but feels he can never be good enough for her.
Paranoid Android - he hates the people around him. Wrong again. This song has no definite meaning, but was adapted by the band to be about the Roman Empire.
Karma Police - he wants to fuck everyone up. Wrong again. This song is about the bad feelings you harbour against people, but at the end Yorke realises he has been judgemental and regrets it "phew for a minute there i lost myself".
Sorry for posting that on an oasis page, but macman2511 may give you the wrong impression about radiohead. Their stuff is depressing granted, but also incredibly layered, beautiful music.
Oasis make good music too, even though it is very different. My view on this song, Lyla, is that it is poor lyrically, and just the same as most of their other songs.

I am not a HUGE Oasis fan, I however do like them a lot. However despite the fact I am not their biggest fan ever, Spiritofthestreet is really pissing me off, because he/she is an annoying twat who won't shut up and won't stop crying about how much they hate the song. You have made your opinion clear, just shut up. You aren't making friends on here, you are annoying, stick something up your fucking ass you fag. I wanted to read some good commentary regarding the song but god I had to read your fucking garbage. Lyla is a fantastic song that grows on you i think, but having heard the album it is about the 5th best song on there. Top tunes are 'The Importance Of Being Idle' and the Liam written 'Love Like A Bomb'. Though Andy Bell has wrote an unforgettable one in the opener 'Turn Up The Sun'. Best since Morning Glory and not that far off it.
