It's moving through town as big as a train" his shining face means God and just because he doesn't capitalize it doesnt mean he's not talking about God.

"Cause sad song's about now? well that would just feel wrong" is like he's saying I can't be sad about this because I'm about to do something great with my life.

it could apply to any important person in your life that has been there with you and for you.
It just reminds me of my best friends cause I couldnt live without them and they are always there for me... to hangout or just talk. i couldnt live without them.
