Dance until we just can't,
Keep clapping our hands to the songs
And get dancing around to the joyful sound that the band plays
As his smiling face just shines away, its making things as big as a train?
April, May, June and July we'll hang outside
August and February all the time
Talking our way through March
Hanging out always til this starts
Over and over again, you promise that it won't end
So I will try to find the right way to thank you again

How I, I am not into the idea of living without you
And I, I am not into the idea of being without you
And no, this won't be a sad song
There's gonna be claps and singing along
'cause there's song's about now well, that would just feel wrong

Beautiful colors that came for you
So this ones goes out to the reds and yellows and blues
And of course I can't forget, all the beautiful colors on the day that we first met
So I will never know the right way to say thanks
For all the nights and days you spent hanging out
Cause that's what this is about

How I, I am not into the idea of living without you
And I, I am not into the idea of being without you
And no, this won't be a sad song
There's gonna be claps and singing along
'cause you're there when you talk and you're there not to stop and you're with me

Around the clock, you are, you are [Repeat: x1]
Around the clock

And just so you'll know know everyone else is not so I,
I am not into the idea of living without you
And I, I am not into the idea...
And no, this won't be a sad song
There's gonna be claps and singing along
'Cause you're there when you talk and you're there not to stop
And you're with me around the clock

General Comment:actually this song is about God and most of his songs are, i actually got to meet bryce and play with him. if you look at the line where he says And keep dancin' around to the joyful sound that the band plays
As his smiling face just shines away
It's moving through town as big as a train" his shining face means God and just because he doesn't capitalize it doesnt mean he's not talking about God.

General Comment:"April, May, June and July we'll hang outside
August through February all the time
    Talking our way through March"

April, May, June, July, August, February, March.
Those are the months we have off school(:

"Hanging out always 'til this starts"

They're not able to see each other when they have breaks off school, and it's killing him.
But he's loves this person so much that he doesn't want to write a sad song about them not seeing each other.
He wants to be happy and revisit the memories.
BTDUBBS; I really don't think this song is about God, despite what anyone believes.
POINT A: And of course I can't forget, all the beautiful colors on the day that we first met
POINT B: Hanging out always 'til this starts, Over and over again, you promise that it won't end

Also, I love the opening vocals and everything, how the entrance is.
    This song is so amazing.
    It actually gives me butterflies.

Song Meaning:This song is very special to me right now. I think this song is about someone who isn't going to see their loved ones (boyfriend/girlfriend, friends, family) for long periods of time and how they're going to deal with it and remember them.

"April, May, June and July we'll hang outside, August through February all the time, Talking our way through March, Hanging out always 'til this starts, Over and over again, you promise that it won't end" is this person's way of saying how they'll get through the year without them.

"I'm not into the idea of livin' without you" means that he doesn't like the idea of being away (maybe he's moving away for a job, school, etc, but you gotta go do what you gotta do. Therefore, "this won't be a sad song, there's gonna be claps and singing along" because it's an exciting time in his life. "Cause sad song's about now? well that would just feel wrong" is like he's saying I can't be sad about this because I'm about to do something great with my life.

"You're with me around the clock" simply means that his loved ones are in his heart all the time no matter what he's doing or where he is.

General Comment:I'm not sure if anybody already said this because to be honest, i didnt read all the comments, it got to be too much work. but anyway, this song isnt about God for one simple reason in the lyrics typed in the cover of the CD case of Hello, Good Friend, "you" and other such words, arent capitalized and they would be if they referred to God.

P.S. I love this song. I love the Rocket Summer!

General Comment:I think this is about him like losing a girl and singing about how they were always together and now they're broken up or something to that effect but he doesn't really want to be sad... he wants to remember all the good times. thats what I think anyway.

General Comment:This song is amazing and one of my favorites from The Rocket Summer. I think its about losing someone close to you. It could be the death of that person, or the fact that you realize things are changing and you desperately want to stop that from happening. I love the lyric "No, this won't be a sad song..." I feel like bryce can hear his other lyrics taking on a somewhat depressing tone, and wants the listener to realize, "No, its not like that, this is not sad, I'm gonna turn things around." I don't know, thats how I took it.

General Comment:p.s. to the part about the sad song, I'm guessing he's just trying to convince himself he's not sad when really he's still kind of upset . . but he's making the most of the last time they can hang out, dancing around the clock.
