There is no culture is my brag,
Your taste for bullshit reveals a lust for a home of office
This is the home of the vain!
This is the home of the vain!
Where are the obligatory niggers?
Hey there fuckface!
Hey there fuckface!
There are twelve people in the world
The rest are paste
This is the home of the vain!
This is the home of the vain!
I just left the Hotel Amnesia
I had to go there
Where it is I can't remember
But now I can remember, now I can remember
Hafta! Hafta!
Message for yer! Message for yer!
Too much reliance on girl here
On girls here, behind every shell-actor
Snobbier Snobbier
Too much romantic here
I destroy romantics, actors,
Kill it!
Kill it!
Kill it a!
Kill it!
Kill it a!
You won't find anything more ridiculous than this new profile razor unit
Made with the highest British attention to the wrong detail
Become obsolete units surrounded by hail.
The Classical!
The Classical!
The Classical!
Hotel Aggro!
Message for yer! Message for yer!
The Classical!
Parallax!
one of the millenium of conspiracy,
Forever,
I know it means a lot of stomach gas,
I know it means alot of stomach gas
I've never felt better in my life
I've never felt better in my life
Parallax!
The Classical!
Stomach gas
I've never felt better in my life
I've never felt better in my life
Parallax!
Millenium of conspiracy
Play out Classical
I've never felt better in my life
Better in my life

General Comment:MES himself said in an interview that this song did scupper a potential Motown deal, but I think he was scamming the journalist. In my opinion.................
This is THE fall song.Twin drummers beat out a primal Jaki Libezeit beat while the Hanley bros riff like the ghost of Roky Erikson.MES just free forms lyrics about the appaling situation that Britain found itself in under Thatcher`s worst excesses.
"This is the home of the vain" .....indeed! It`s also about the football hooligan problem and the death throes of the British manufacturing industry.
"I`ve never felt better in my life"
How any American can make head or tail of MES`s lyrics is beyond me.It`s hard if you don`t come from Salford!!!

General Comment:Surely "reveals a lust for a form of obvious", not "a home of office".

General Comment:I love The Fall. So many albums, no one cares about the band, except Peel and he's dead, and he was not exactly a promoter by profession. This means I have known the band for twenty (count them!) twenty years and I have never heard this track before today, and it is amazing and meaningless (or incomprehensible) and wonderful and so on.

There is no culture is my brag,
Your taste for bullshit reveals a lust for a home of office

It's very definitely not "a home of office"

General Comment:2. These are definitely wrong:

Too much reliance on girl here
On girls here, behind every shell-actor
    Snobbier Snobbier

    I think it's this:

Too much reliance on girl here
    Behind every shell-actor
    The fear and the aura
    Raw power, stormier, stormier

Lyric Correction:lots of errors in the lyrics here
    1st one: it's "Parallax", not "Poleaxe a"

My Opinion:Only early Pavement sounds like The Fall, "Slanted & Enchanted" and the EPs they released prior to that.

I liked Pavement years before i got into The Fall, it did surprise me how familiar some of The Fall's stuff sounded when i first heard them!
