Having to let go - We we re recorded this song... because that last recording of this song for the old cd was rushed... it was my fav song on (Having to let go)... This song was a song i wrote to Summer about just ending things... and it was a good way to end the cd by prolonging the song out and just making it all ambient and melodic... During this time of my life.. we were done dating.. but we would still visit almost every month.. and even though she was with other guys.. including the guy shes with now.. i would still come and stay a weekend with her.. and we wrote the song about just letting go of everything and ending it on good terms.. and moving on with life.
To me hes talking about a break-up and the things that come with it like having weird conversations with the person and that we might still love. And they might not love us back.
