I think this song is about the ultimate feeling of jealousy, "Oh don't mind me I'm watching you two from the closet

This is an amazing song, though that line does kind of creep me out, I still love fall out boy.

I am actually thinking that they did have it right as \"loaded gun complex\". Look at the words around it \"i\'ll be your number one with a BULLET\" and \"cock it and pull it\". You can\'t cock or pull a god. But you can cock a gun and pull a trigger on it.

Its "loaded gun" complex. What he's trying to say is that when you have a loaded gun in your hands, you're gonna want shoot something with it. Him being the number one is saying he'd take a bullet for her.

After doing some through searching and debating...I have decided that I was wrong (oh goodness this is completely hard for me to admit i'm such a stubborn person) and in fact it's "god". I know gun makes a lot more sense, but I'm also the most metaphorically challenged person. bestkeptsecret's lj post changed my mind. If it's from Pete, I'm going with it. dangit...i was hoping it was gun...it sounds cooler...

i say it's "gun" too. a loaded god complex, cock it and pull it. that makes absolutely no sense. i've listened to the non-radio rip, and i can almost assure you it is gun.

just a tip: dont believe everything you read on the internet. i could have easily made my username pete or fall out boy, and made false corrections, claiming to be the band or a member of the band.

I think it's a combination of a lot of conflicting emotion. He wants this girl who doesn't like him ("Isn't it messed up how I'm just trying to be him"), but at the same time he thinks lowly of her (You're just a line in a song). And through it all he's not willing to let go of what he has easily, and is willing to fight for it (We're going down swinging).

Yes the song is about jealousy, but it's more about how he lost her and he wants to get back together with her but she's with another guy. "I'm just a notch in your bedpost, but your just a line in a song" saying he's been with her and he means nothing to her anymore.
btw i love this song. Fall Out Boy has the best lyrics EVER.

Man, if this song is an indication of how good the new album by fall out boy is going to be, i'm pre-ordering it. This song is incredible, i LOVE the line "I'll be your number one with a bullet, a loaded gun complex, cock it and pull it"... I think this song is about a guy and a girl that got together for something quick and easy, "i'm just a notch in your bedpost"... but once it was done, he got hooked on her, now he's jealous and can't let go.."Oh don't mind me I'm watching you two from the closet "... could be right, could be wrong.. i still LOVE the song and the band.
