I'm Robbie's sister
I guess that's plain to see
When we watch cartoons cartoons
I'm as happy as can be
I think Samurai Jack's cool
And Dexters Laboratory
I miss watching powerpuff
I miss watching tv
well living on the tourbus aint that bad
But I feel like ive lost all that i had
Cartoon Network
I miss you so
Cartoon Network
Where did you go
Grim & Evil how i love that little brain
Johnny Bravo can i smack you once again,
I hope youve learned a lesson here
Treasure what you have
Don't make the mistake I made
The rockstar life is sad
Well living on a tour bus is... pretty bad
And now I'm sure I know
The meaning of my life
The love within my soul
The reason I wake up each day and its cartoon network
I miss you so
My Cartoon Network
Where did you go?
My cartoon....network...
I guess that's plain to see
When we watch cartoons cartoons
I'm as happy as can be
I think Samurai Jack's cool
And Dexters Laboratory
I miss watching powerpuff
I miss watching tv
well living on the tourbus aint that bad
But I feel like ive lost all that i had

I miss you so
Cartoon Network
Where did you go

And now I'm sure I know
The meaning of my life
The love within my soul
The reason I wake up each day and its cartoon network
I miss you so
My Cartoon Network
Where did you go?
My cartoon....network...

Kid 1: What's Sacrifice mean?
Kid 2: I don't know!!! MOMMMMY!!
Mom: What? ...
Kid 2: Tell ME!!!
Mom: It's sorta like when daddy went to sleep and forgot to wake up... ... ... but... .. for a cause!
Kid 2: I don't wanna be a sacrifice.. **cries**
Kid 1: ****CRIES****
Amy Lee: What's wrong??!
Mom: You need to stop singing because your anti-life rants are depressing the children!
Amy Lee: Nahhh, they like out. *gazes out at sobbing crowd* Crying helps !
Mom: *loads gun* I asked you to stop!!
Amy Lee: hahaah, i want to die! Remember Tourniquet from Fallen?
Mom: Fine, since you asked! **shoots**
CN Manager: Finally someone put that bitch out of misery
I love evanescence and amy and this is just how i imagined the scene to play out..
The kids would cry. :/
Would you play 'Even in Death' to them? 'My Immortal' ? LOL True, she could have done 'Imaginary', but think of it: it not only gets the smallest kids scared, their parents will not even consider letting them ever listen to Evanescence again.
Amy did a right thing to write a stupid, meaningless, but very happy song about CN. She knows how to reach a crowd. She's setting the right mood for both the kids and their parents, making them remember Evanescence as a nice band. Let those kids come back when they're about 15 and get in to teenage troubles.
And for what it's worth... my favourite alarmclock song to get up with every morning is 'Sesame Street's Honk-Around-The-Clock'. Now who said stupid songs are for small kids! I'm 24 and I still listen to it!!!
This is about Amy being a kid's older sibling. While they were young or something, they used to watch Cartoon Network. Well, as a rockstar it isn't mature appropiate to just suddenly watch kids shows again, and those original cartoons don't air much anymore anyways. Growing up is harsh, to remember how much you had fun then realize how plain or boring it is to do almost nothing in a tourbus.
Not that Amy hates it, but she just misses the good old times.
I'm not sure of the original purpose for this song, but anyways--yeah. That's what I think the song means to me.
