If time can break us down
And not keep us around
I won't wait
I won't mind
Not this time

I've started up the clocks
It's time I left behind
And everything we've lost
Disappears

(I'm calling, I'm calling out)
(for answers on the long walk home)

I've started up the race
It's something I can't change
And now we're not the same

I'm running past the words
To finish up the faults (can't come back)
I won't wait (won't live like that)
Not this time

I've started up the clocks
It's time I left behind
And everything we've lost
Disappears

(I'm calling, I'm calling out)
(For answers on the long walk home)

I've started up the race
It's something I can't change
And now we're not the same

(I'll find myself once more again)
(I'll find myself once more again)

I've started up this race
It's something I can't change
And now we're not the same

(I can't help by myself again)

General Comment:I'd like to disagree on preference of the EP vs. Grand Unification versions...

I like the extra atmosphere as Golson pointed out. However, the extra loud bass guitar in the EP version kinda ruins it.

    But to each their own.

Either way - this song is incredible...Epic is the best word to describe it. I'm contemplating a trip to the UK to see these guys cause I love them so much that I don't mind flying from Minnesota, if thats what I have to do!

General Comment:The EP version is far better that the album version. was totally blown away when i heard it. it builds up until its this huge sound. it's like saeglopur by sigur ros but with heavy guitar. awesome.

General Comment:This is probably the most emotional song you could ever hear.
I just think it's about the world ending, and that could be related to anything ending (like a life or a relationship etc.)
I so wish they'd made a video to this, it would of been amazing. You could just imagine the band playing this with like the world ending around them.
    It's so incredible.
I definetly prefer the EP version. The one on Grand Unification is still good though. That in mind, does anyone know what Charlie whispers during the pause? (at about 3:56 into the song)

General Comment:I've listened to all of the supposed 'best songs ever', and this is the only one I've heard sung with so much emotion.
Charlie's voice compliments this song so well. He is an undeserved-legend in the making,
I will lay my hate down, and say in the next ten years... if Fightstar are not in the top 10 of the Rock Charts, I will gladly eat it.
