How fast we burn
How fast we cry
The more we learn
The more we die
The more we learn
The more we cry
How fast we burn
How fast we die
I hear the planet crying now
I hear the planet crying now

General Comment:im glad its was this band that turned teen feeling into music and words. teen feeling are perceived as... well.. immature, but this song and i have thought of a thesis on teen feelings:
we are not clouded by the everyday worried of being an adult and getting too old while drifting from our feelings. our minds are unknowing but better understanding, since we are young and closer to our feelings

General Comment:Becoming a teenager, you reach that stage in your life where you begin to realize that there is alot of pain and unhappiness in the world, and that life isn't always fare. You are in that in between stage, no longer the innocent/ignorant child, but not yet the desensitized adult. The lyrics seem to suggest this...

General Comment:I don't know where everyone is getting these theories for the last couple of lines. It could be 'I hear the planet crying' could be right as M83 are French and tend to pronouce their 'the's as 'ze's. But to me it seems that they're singing 'I hear somebody crying'. It certainly makes a lot more sense than 'Hate is a kinda crazy world' or whatever. As for the 'keep out' part... anyone's guess :P

    Just my thoughts.

General Comment:I always thought at the end he was saying
"I am so glad we're crying."
Either way, I love listening to this song. I remember the first time I heard it; it was the same reaction I had when I first heard "Don't Save Us from the Flames." I think this song has a pretty straight forward meaning, so simple and so beautiful.

General Comment:On second thought, maybe she's singing, "Keep on"?

General Comment:It's definitely "I'm so glad I'm crying" at the end.

I also don't think the girl is saying "Teen angst" in the chorus. The first syllable sounds like a "K" to me. Maybe she's saying "Keep out?" I don't know.

But yeah, great song. Definitely get the "floating above a city" vibe from it, too.

General Comment:It's like listening to this song, overlooking a city. Looking to the universe. Open arms. It's a song for earth.
