She fills my bed with gasoline
You think I wouldn’t notice
Her minds made up the love is gone
I think someone’s trying to show us a sign

That even if we thought it would last
The moment will pass
My bones will break and my heart will give
Oh it hurts to live

I remember the day
When ya left for Santa Monica
Ya left me to remain will all your excuses for everything
I remember the time when ya left for Santa Monica
I remember the day you told me it’s over

It hurts to breathe
Every time that you’re not next to me
Her minds made up the girl is gone
And now I’m forced to see
I think I’m on my way
Oh it hurts to live today
And when she said
Don’t you wish you were dead like me

I remember the day
When ya left for Santa Monica
Ya left me to remain will all your excuses for everything
I remember the time when ya left for Santa Monica
I remember the day ya told me it’s over

I wanted more than this
I needed more than this
I deserve more than this
But it just won’t stop, it just won’t go away
I needed more than this
I wanted more than this
I asked for more than this
But it just won’t stop, it just won’t go away

I remember the day
When ya left for Santa Monica
Ya left me to remain will all your excuses for everything
I remember the time when you left it all behind
I remember the day you told me it’s over

I remember the day
When you left for Santa Monica
You left me to remain with all your excuses for everything
And I remember the time when you left for Santa Monica
I remember the day you told me it’s over…

My Interpretation:'She fills my bed with Gasoline, And you think I would have noticed.'

I think because of the break up he feels like she didnt love him the way he loved her and that (in the end at least) she had led him on and caused him more heartache.

'And she says, dont you wish you were dead like me'

I see this as her hitting back. More of a comeback that was probably brought on by him saying something along the lines of her being heartless. or the reason that was mentioned before. that shes saying she never cared anyways.

'It hurts to breath, Everytime that youre not next to me'

I think this is a very simple line of basically I miss you and it hurts.

I think the song is about a guy who was heartbroken when his girl left him and that he still misses her very much. Maybe even to the point of suicide.

    Excellent song.

My Interpretation:She fills my bed with gasoline
    You think I wouldn't notice
(She's blantantly hurting him to get him to leave first first)

Her minds made up the love is gone
I think someone's trying to show us a sign
    (She doesn't love him anymore)

That even if we thought it would last
    The moment will pass
    (Nothing lasts forever)

My bones will break and my heart will give
    Oh it hurts to live
    (? maybe contemplating suicide?)

    I remember the day
When ya left for Santa Monica
Ya left me to remain will all your excuses for everything
I remember the time when ya left for Santa Monica
I remember the day you told me it's over
(Its been awhile.. but he remember clearly when she left, she didn't get a reason, she made up excuses for why shes leaving)

    It hurts to breathe
Every time that you're not next to me
    (He's depressed)

Her minds made up the girl is gone
And now I'm forced to see
I think I'm on my way
(He cant change her mind, and he sees its something he has to let her do)

Oh it hurts to live today
    And when she said
Don't you wish you were dead like me
(he told her it hurts. she said "if only you caught the signs earlier and stopped loving me, like i stopped loving you")

    I remember the day
When ya left for Santa Monica
Ya left me to remain will all your excuses for everything
I remember the time when ya left for Santa Monica
I remember the day ya told me it's over
    (see above)

    I wanted more than this
    I needed more than this
    I deserve more than this
But it just won't stop, it just won't go away
    I needed more than this
    I wanted more than this
I asked for more than this
But it just won't stop, it just won't go away
(i didnt deserve to be hurt, but all my wishing wont stop the pain)

    I remember the day
When ya left for Santa Monica
Ya left me to remain will all your excuses for everything
I remember the time when you left it all behind
I remember the day you told me it's over

    I remember the day
When you left for Santa Monica
You left me to remain with all your excuses for everything
And I remember the time when you left for Santa Monica
I remember the day you told me its over...

General Comment:His long-term girlfriend has decided to leave him behind and pursue a career in a LA style fictitious city called Santa Monica. Excellent song, really encapsulates the situation perfectly.

General Comment:This song was the exact song I was listening to before me and my would- be wife broke up. She fills my bed with gasoline.WOW those lyrics are so true it could mean she left him and burned away any sense of pride or honor he had. But anyway, If anybody goes thorugh a tuff break-up you should listen to this song it is helping me. I love it and it gives me hope. I don't know why, but then again who cares it a great song anyway. I shed alot of tears to this song I listened to it 50 times last night, then I played along with it 50 more and NO I AM NOT LYING about that 100 times and it never got old. Music can heal people I think so pick up a guitar, drums, bass, sing, banjo, violin, turn tables, whatever.... it don't matter what style rock ,jazz, country, blues (Blues yeah I got those right about now. B.B King baby he is awsome) but yeah music is healing.

General Comment:come to think of it, no, its about a break up. i dont think its possible for it to be about a death. coz surely the girl wouldnt have told him its over if she was dying

General Comment:hmmm... could be about a death? could be his gf who died? n she may have possibly said 'i hope heavens like santa monica' before she died? i rote a song about my cousin who died from luekimia and got sum stuff bout meeting him on the moon. so i guess its possible. but i do admit it seems to be more of a breakup where the girl was searching for something a little better.

General Comment:i think that the song is about a girl who really did try to love him and waited around hoping that she would someday becasue he was a good guy, but in the end she just wanted more and had to leave... i think she made "excuses for everything" becaause she knew he loved her and he didnt want to hurt him but she was hurting herself by staying and always wondering what would have happend if she left and found something else.... just my opinion, but i think he was kinda like a compfort zone and she didnt want to lose something great but in the end she had to go because even tho he was good to her she just didnt have the same feelings. and she doesnt want to feel numb and "dead" anymore... awesome song tho!

General Comment:I'm pretty sure the line is supposed to be 'She fills my bed with gasoline, you'd think I would've noticed.'
