You were born with wings
So why don't you use them and get the hell out of here?
And you have the most beautiful eyes
So why don't you use them for something other than crying?
And I am sorry for the way that this had to end
If only there was something that I could have done
Or something that I could have said
And all of the gold in this world is keeping me occupied
And my greatest apologies they go out to my greatest inspiration
Baby, I could meet you in Los Angeles
Where all of the people look exactly like you and me
And in a crowd of faceless people
You know I could pick you out
In a split second, in an odd minute
You know I'd find you
I always said that I would
How's your daddy doing?
The last I heard I though he was dying
And I hope everything's going ok with that
And the baby that's inside of me will look just like you
So I better close my eyes so I don't confuse him with you
'Cause I would take him out and I would take you in
And we could be together whatever the weather
And I would spend the rest of my life making this up to you
And my greatest apologies they go out to my only best friend
And that means you, yeah, that means you
Baby, I could meet you in Los Angeles
Where all of the people look exactly like you and me
And in a crowd of faceless people
You know I could pick you out
In a split second, in an odd minute
You know I'd find you
I always said that I would
I always said that I would
I always said that I would
I always said that I would
I always said that I would
I would
So why don't you use them and get the hell out of here?
And you have the most beautiful eyes
So why don't you use them for something other than crying?
And I am sorry for the way that this had to end
If only there was something that I could have done

So why don't you use them
And get the hell out of here?"
I think those are some great lines. It illustrates the fact that the person she's singing about is capable of growing and accomplishing things but chooses not to.
Also, I agree with britta, that's how I interpret that line as well. This song's got one of the most raw and honest choruses I've ever heard. I love it. She's still got this tiny place in her heart for the person, and she's saying if he ever changes his mind, she'll be there.
