I am leaving while you turn away
In the basement is where I'm going to stay
There is blood in all the things I say
Will you hate me if I stay this way?
From the bedroom, where we're running from
There's a sequel to the things I've done
You're a women, we both know it's true
By the things that I have done to you

There is blood on all the shoes you've worn
From the people you've been stepping on
There is blood in all the things you say
I won't hate you if you go away

There is blood on our hands again
From the bedroom is where we will
Bring it back to the start again
Bring it back to the love we had
(Repeat)

I am leaving while you turn away
In the basement is where I'm going to stay
From the bedroom, where we're running from
There's a sequel to the things I've done

There is blood on our hands again
From the bedroom is where we will
Bring it back to the start again
Bring it back to the love we had
(Repeat)

Song Meaning:I think it meant that they were both cheating on each other. When they say, "we've got blood on our hands again", that means that they did something really bad they know they weren't suppose to do. also when they say, "From the bedroom, where we're running from There's a sequel to the things I've done" It makes me think that he messed around in there own bed.

Song Meaning:Whoa whoa whoa... deflowering virginity and abortion?? You're all reading way too much into the symbolism of blood. This is in no way about either one of those.

Blood in words, blood on shoes, blood on hands. This is a sign of guilt. Blood on your hands is the mark of foul deeds. They've been verbally cruel to each other.. They fight. A lot apparently. She's apparently been walking all over him at points, perhaps over others as well. They're both guilty of being assholes in a hectic, fiery relationship.

The song opens with a scene of the relationship after a serious fight. They're being distant and avoiding the most intimate setting, the bedroom.

"There's a sequel to the things I've done"

He knows the fights and abuse will probably continue.

"You're a women, we both know it's true
By the things that I have done to you"

He's fucked her. Literally and figuratively. (PS this is the only thing in the song that could remotely support the abortion bit by insinuating pregnancy. Still, there is no reference to abortion AT ALL in the remainder of the song.)

"From the bedroom is where we will
Bring it back to the start again
Bring it back to the love we had "

They know it's going to be resolved with lots of intense sex. Typical fire and ice relationship.
(PS this is the ONLY part where I think you may be getting the virginity idea from, with "back to the start again," but again, that's off. It's going back to the love WE had. They're resolving their disputes through physical passion.)

General Comment:This was the first song I ever heard by them, but then I went back and listened to the stuff from the beginning and it's all good.

General Comment:They are both guilty of infidelity and wrongdoing towards one another. In other words, they've both fucked up the relationship. As for "There's a sequel to the things I've done," it refers to the aftermath of the wrong he has done.

From the bedroom is where we will
Bring it back to the start again
Bring it back to the love we had
-They both want to work things out and revive their love.

It may even be about a 'dead marriage' that needs reconciliation.
