Was hast du mit mir gemacht,
Warum tust du mir das an
Was soll ich noch ändern
Ich komm nur wieder bei dir an

Ich will weg von hier
Doch es scheint egal wohin ich lauf
Das mit dir hört nicht auf
Sag mir wann hört das auf

Und ich kämpf' mich durch die Nacht
Hab keine Ahnung was du mit mir machst

Hab keine Ahnung was du mit mir machst

Hey yeah
ich, ich, ich
Oh ich kann nicht mehr
Ich kann nicht mehr

Doch ich kämpf' mich durch die Nacht
Hab keine Ahnung was du mit mir machst

This is a really beautiful song. I don't understand all of the lyrics but I gather it is about not being with someone even though you really want to be with them. It's about fighting that desire. Unfortunatley it is a very true feeling :(

This song is so refreshing because of the German language, it really benefits from it.

    Well here is the translation.

Can't distract myself again It all centers you I'm lieing here and count the day Don't know how many more are going to come What did you do with me? Why do you do this to me? What more shall I change? I'll never cut no ice with you again

I want to go away from here But it seems wherever I go This thing with you it doesn't stop Tell me when does that stop? And I battle my way through the night Have no idea what you are doing with me I don't get you out of my head Though I want to And I battel my way through the night Woke up with tears in my eyes I don't get you out of my head Though I have to

All my wishes I dissipated at you I can't belive it myself Then only me, take me out of there Cause it is difficult for me to savvy it But somehow it's gonna work Everything would change if I didn't see you anymore

    (I, I, I, oh I, I can't take it anymore, I can't take it anymore!)

But I battle my way through the night Have no idea what you are doing with me I don't get you out of my head Though I want to And I battel my way through the night Woke up with tears in my eyes I don't get you out of my head Though I have to

So that's bout it. I hope it's correct, I'm german and not that good in english.... but it ought to....

I - as a German - actually thought it is about getting rid of the memories of someone that you just broke up with. To supply that interpretation:

    1) Alles würde sich verändern, wenn ich Dich nich' mehr wiederseh'.

    2) Ich krieg' Dich nich' aus meinem Kopf und dabei muss ich doch!

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Bron-Y-Aur Stomp
Led Zeppelin
This is about bronies. They communicate by stomping.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
