The evening was long
My guesses were true
You saw me see you
That something you said
The timing was right
The pleasure was mine

The time and the place
The look on your face
Sincerest eyes

If you're ready or not
The state of our hearts
There's no time to take

When we started
Both brokenhearted
Not believing
It could begin and end in one evening

We were caught by the light
Held on the day
'Till it became hours
The minutes went by
The cab is outside
There's no time to take

When we parted
Moving on
And believing
It could begin and end in one evening

When we started both brokenhearted
Not believing
It could begin and end in one evening
When we parted
Moving on
And believing
It could begin and end in one evening

My Interpretation:This is a great song. I like Feist because her sound is very unique. She has mastered the art of evoking emotions. Her sound can make you think real hard and reflect on everything. I think this song in particular is about two people that have been burnt in past relationships and give up on them and keep it single from there on. Then they meet each other one and have a one night stand. They felt they had a connection but because of there past experiences they didnt speak there minds and moved on.

General Comment:The video fits the song perfectly and the way she dances is awkward but thats whats so great about it. I always wondered why Buck 65 was in this video tho.

General Comment:Yeah this song's meaning is pretty straightforward... I like the video tho and I think Feist actually does look pretty hot in it. She isn't exactly a phenomenal dancer but I think thats part of the charm... She's cute in a sophisticated sorta way.

This song has a Sade feel to it... with a folky sort of twist. Interesting anyway.

General Comment:The video is great. Everyone knows women are better dancers than men! AND, they both do the Batusi from Batman / Pulp Fiction. What a great tune for a summer party on the patio. The best thing to come out of Toronto since the Maple Leafs!
