Another New 1 for you guys... and More help I ask from my fellow Anberlin Fans... If you got ideas to some parts I may have wrong and what may be after the "But you're a day late and my love's just (??)" it's just sumthing.... i cant make it out... thanx. Enjoy

It's Day Late Friend... The Track Used to Be Named Day Late Friend... then they changed it... I used to have the lyrics as daily weeks ago... changed them. thanx for the help

This is one of my favorites on the new one.

I assume it's about a girl who didn't want him before, but they stayed friends and then she wanted him when he was over it.

I was so bummed when I started getting into Anberlin cause I saw them before I knew who they were...they were so good though.

The lyrics still aren't 100%

"We are who we were then" should be
"We are who we were when"

"To tell me in words what you really feel" should be
"To tell me with words.."

But thoughts come and go" should be
"Loves come & go"

"And my love's just still renown" should be
"And my love, she's still renowned"


& yes, I have the booklet in my hand.
Anberlin is so amazing they deserve for everyone to see their amazing lyrics

Anyway, I see this song as a guy who liked a girl, but they were friends & he never told her. Then, they remained friends but they each got significant others, & it finally comes out that the girl really did like the guy. If he had told her they could have been together.
it's all about regret.

this is just a grammar correction. "could of" should be "could have... or could've". no big deal, people make that mistake all the time. anyway, amazing song.

Its about a girl and a boy. Now they have their own lovers, but the girl finally came up to the boy and told her how she felt. The boy used to feel the same way. Now he's like saying "Oh wellz! You had your chance, girl."

i was with a girl, and i dumped her

i really dont think this song means that he was like "oh welll she had her chance" i think he still did love her but by the time they both realized they wanted to be together it was too late. They could have used to been lovers but now things are different. theyre different. but only time can tell what will happen. for now they will be good friends.
