Take control of the atmosphere
Take me far away from here
There is no better loss than to lose myself in you
In a parachute to glide, I am captive in your sky
Surrender has somehow become so beautiful
Take control of the atmosphere
Take control of the atmosphere
You can take my world you can fill the air
Take control, take control
It's such a beautiful surrender
It's such a beautiful surrender
It's such a beautiful surrender
It's such a beautiful surrender
Move me up through the darkest clouds
Till I've lost in the sun every shadow of doubt
There is no better find than to find myself with you
In a fog you are all I see
I'm inviting you closer with each time I breathe
Surrender has somehow become so beautiful
Take control of the atmosphere
Take control of the atmosphere
There is no reason I should breathe unless you're in the air
Take control
Its such a beautiful surrender
Its such a beautiful surrender
And I'm calling out
would you take control
And I'm calling out
Take me far away from here
There is no better loss than to lose myself in you
In a parachute to glide, I am captive in your sky
Surrender has somehow become so beautiful
Take control of the atmosphere
Take control of the atmosphere
You can take my world you can fill the air
Take control, take control
It's such a beautiful surrender
It's such a beautiful surrender
It's such a beautiful surrender
It's such a beautiful surrender
Move me up through the darkest clouds
Till I've lost in the sun every shadow of doubt
There is no better find than to find myself with you
In a fog you are all I see
I'm inviting you closer with each time I breathe
Surrender has somehow become so beautiful
Take control of the atmosphere
Take control of the atmosphere
There is no reason I should breathe unless you're in the air
Take control
Its such a beautiful surrender
Its such a beautiful surrender
And I'm calling out
would you take control
And I'm calling out

lol I have been using this site for quite some time, about 1-2 years... and I have to agree... why would you ever ever consider comparing this fantastic and beautiful band with garbage like LP??????? I even had to make an account to tell you this as well!!!
Anyways, I love this song, and I will agree that is about god, but I am atheist and it can also apply to his loved one :) and he wants her to be in control of him because he is completely and madly in love with her. "There is no better loss than to lose myself in you" that helped me support that idea :) also this one "There is no better find than to find myself with you" Mute Math music has many meanings and it's all up to how we all take our songs... that is one of the reasons I love this band!! beautiful lyrics along with beautiful music!!
A girl? thats a joke. I really dont think you take Mutemath's music and make the lyrics mean whatever you want. Thats like someone painting a bird and someone else would rather it be a crocodile. Besides, its better find yourself with God rather than a girl.
srerednaw09bwfc

Um. Wow. First of all, I agree with Greg89. Yes, I'm an atheist. Yes, I realize that Mute Math are Christians. Yes, I realize that this song was more than likely written about God.

However.

I think it's a little pretentious and just plain snotty to say that people CAN'T take these songs to mean whatever they want. Yes, there is always the author's reasoning behind the song, or poem, or story. All artists have some reason for why they created what they did. But the beautiful thing about art, such as lyrics, is that we as humans are free to interpret them as we feel suited. Most artists love that. They love that their fans come up with different reasons, and are able to discuss them, and get different feelings from them.

Not to mention, I can bet that part of the reason this band doesn't want to be labeled as a Christian band is because they don't want to alienate their fans. None of their songs have "God" or "Jesus" in them, therefore they give their fans the right to interpret these lyrics however they want.

Are you saying that all of Mute Math's non-Christian fans aren't supposed to get anything out of this? That only the Christians can truly understand their music and lyrics? I think that's ridiculous. I think it's an incredible feeling to find yourself with someone, or lose yourself in someone you really love. If that's God for you, then great. If it's a human for others, then great. Don't be a douche.
