I'm packed and I'm holding
I'm smiling, she's living, she's golden
And she lives for me
She says she lives for me
Ovation
She's got her own motivation
She comes round and she goes down on me
And I make her smile
It's like a drug for you
Do ever what you want to do
Coming over you
Keep on smiling, what we go through
One stop to the rhythm that divides you
And I speak to you like the chorus to the verse
Chop another line like a coda with a curse
And I come on like a freak show takes the stage
We give them the games we play, she said
I want something else
To get me through this
Semi-charmed kind of life
I want something else
I'm not listening when you say
Good-bye
The sky it was gold, it was rose
I was taking sips of it through my nose
And I wish I could get back there
Some place back there
Smiling in the pictures you would take
Doing crystal myth
Will lift you up until you break
It won't stop
I won't come down, I keep stock
With a tick-tock rhythm and a bump for the drop
And then I bumped up
I took the hit I was given
Then I bumped again
And then I bumped again
How do I get back there to
The place where I fell asleep inside you?
How do I get myself back to
The place where you said
I want something else
To get me through this
Semi-charmed kind of life
I want something else
I'm not listening when you say
Good-bye
I believe in the sand beneath my toes
The beach gives a feeling
An earthy feeling
I believe in the faith that grows
And the four right chords can make me cry
When I'm with you I feel like I could die
And that would be all right
All right
When the plane came in
She said she was crashing
The velvet it rips
In the city we tripped
On the urge to feel alive
But now I'm struggling to survive
The days you were wearing
That velvet dress
You're the priestess, I must confess
Those little red panties
They pass the test
Slide up around the belly
Face down on the mattress
One
Now you hold me
And we're broken
Still its all that I want to do
Feel myself with a head made of the ground
I'm scared but I'm not coming down
And I won't run for my life
She's got her jaws just locked now in smile
But nothing is all right
All right
I want something else
To get me through this life
I want something else
I'm not listening when you say
Good-bye

General Comment:Funny how I associate this song with a summer's breeze rolling through an open window on my way to the beach as a kid. It would always play in the summer on 93.1 Maine's Coast FM.

Now I'm old enough to give some thought to what it actually means. But for me it will always mean those lazy summer days as a kid, no cares, innocent happiness. Oh the irony.

General Comment:"Feel myself with a head made of the ground"...

no...I hear it, "Feel myself heavy on the ground." Pretty sure that's right.

My Interpretation:It's strange how upbeat it is but it's really a depressing song... From what I got out of it, and everyone has their own views of it, but my view was she left him and he started doing drugs (or doing more drugs) to get rid of his depression... but that's just me...

General Comment:"One stop to the rhythm that divides you." Once Jenkins flow gets fucked up, it could be from something stupid he gets completely fucked up and there goes his game/charm.

    General Comment:Random thoughts:

"Crystal Meth" would be a great name for a porn star. Well, maybe spell it "Christal".

I love how the line "Doing Crystal Meth will lift you up until you break" ties in to "And you hold me / And we're broken"

Last night I watched a movie called "The Salton Sea" which reminds me a lot of this song. They should have used this song somewhere in the soundtrack, in fact. A big part of the movie was the lifestyle described in this song, although I don't know if the drug in the movie was meth specifically. Look for a cameo appearance by Josh Todd if you watch it. That made me smile.

General Comment:other than the obvious drug and sexual references, the song meaning is all right here

    she said

    I want something else
To get me through this semi-charmed kind of life
    I want something else
I'm not listening when you say good-bye

The last line switches from her POV to his POV...she's dumped him and moved on while he struggles with drug addiction and memories of what they had.

The musical references...simply metaphors, don't read too much into them.

General Comment:The beauty about song lyrics is the choice of the listener to apply aspects to his/her life... or just enjoy the song. For me, this is all about the sheer hold crystal meth can have on not just one person, but a couple. It could come straight from the meth roller coaster ride handbook, imo. Great song, but if you read between the lines... I agree with DEEPMUSIC13. It's all about the ENTIRE experience. Which can be VERY ugly.

General Comment:this is honestly the greatest most amazing song ever. my anthem forever. although ive never been on drugs i can relate when he sayd i want something else. the lyrics are just gold. u cant make this kinda good shit up. its the song u loved on the radio but never took much notice of. but when u actually realise what its about its like a whole different song.

General Comment:hey pipz!..3EB is known for their catchy lyrix and upbeat tune...this songs has so much in between the lines...it's not just bout crystal meth...it's about going after the wild side of life...it's like a continuation of a song (Walk on the Wild Side actually by Lou Reed)....just like Green Day's "Jesus of Suburbia" which collaborate's with Smashing Pumpkin's "1979" it's bout the mediocre life of teens in the city that leads up to having wild adventures to kill the time...
