this song to me means that a person who cannot handle there life has created a different world that they can escape to and has even considered commiting suicide to escape,

i agree with gothicrocker. This song kin of reminds me of myself and my life. I almost commited suicide myself. Anyway,.....THIS SONG KICKS SOME SERIUOS ASS!!!!!!!!!!

I looove this version of Imaginary!! It seems less edited than the one on Fallen. Not to say I don't like the Fallen version though, Imaginary is my favorite song... ever. I think the different verse gives the song a darker flavor.

lyric correction:

love it to bits, in some ways I think it's better than the Fallen version, but I think I like the original EP version the best

actually binni the lyrics are 100 percent correct
this is a different version i have the mp3 of it, ive seen the official lryics that were posted on the old evboard by the band

This song isn't REALLY called "Imaginary (Monsters)" (I am almost positive). It's one of the two demo versions of Imaginary. And yes, it is very very awesome, one of my favorite songs ever.

excuse me but you guys are wrong the links i posted from the evboard have been checked by the band it is called imaginary(monsters) and it does say You can leave the world you live in, suicide

only on this version though, this has been checked by the band and it is correct

I've listend to the song thousands of times, and the lyrics are:

"If you need to leave the world you live in
Lay your head down and stay a while
Though you may not remember dreaming
Something waits for you to breathe again."

What you have doesn't really make sence. If this is a different version of the song, sorry for trying to correct it.

yes it is a different version of the song how many times do i have to say these lyrics are 100% correct they have been checked by AMY LEE!!!!! and the rest of evanescence they are 100% CORRECT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah I listened to the one that rock_faerie posted.
There's probably alot of different versions of it, :)
...This song kinda freaked me out at first, but It's still good. I think I like the other imaginary one better

this is the first version of "imaginary" i heard and my fav. this song (and all it's versions) are all about people retreating to their imagination or imaginary world to escape the real world which basically is hell. amy lee is an amazing writer and singer to have to have come up with something and wonderful as this.

Gothicrocker, I know it suits the point to say they were checked by Amy Lee, but really, they weren't. Evboard IS the official Evanescence fan board, and the lyrics ARE correct, and the band DOES post at the site, but Amy isn't so bored that she sat around editing lyrics for the site. The mods did it.
