I love this band so the day they told me they had video on Mtv my world stopped. This is such great band and it totally disappoints me to know that they are acting stupid showing people how they make their flashy videos and changing the meaning of this record to get more high school kids to like them. I hate the fact that they are saying that the Cd is about High school, I saw then in a interview describing the CD as romance tale of two lovers that die and are not together in the afterlife. The guy make a deal to kill a thousand evil men just to be with his love again. But know they have gone and changed it, that is so fucking stupid. This band has songs that make bad days go by sooner and great days reach their peak. I have loved this band since the first Cd came out and now all those pop- punk-rock kids I hate are going to the show and buying the hats and shirts.

If it wasn't for My Chemical Romance making a video there is no way I would have ever heard of them. I'm thankful they did because I live in Wisconsin and there is no way I would have ever heard of them since they are from New Jersey.
I AM NOT a pop-punk-rock kid nor a poser, just a rock lover and I can completely understand where you're coming from because I HATE when kids just like bands to be cool. I liked a band named Silverchair since they came out with their first CD. Then all of a sudden they are played on MTV with their 3rd CD and everyone knew who they were. It sucks. But MCR helped me through a hard time and I'm thankful they made videos so I could discover them.
As for what their music is about, let them decide since they wrote it.
Don't take offense to this either please, I'm just stating that coming out with a video has helped people like me who are true rock fans.

Right, I'm not being funny, please don't think I'm just being argumentative, but one of the things I hate is when people stop liking bands when they get popular. Surely it's good for other people to get to know who they are and buy their records, then the band makes money and continues making music and everyone's (thoretically) happy.
It's a different matter if the band 'sells out' and you just don't like the music any more, but when it's the same stuff and the only thing that's changed is the fan base, I just don't understand it.
I know this is just my opinion, and feel free to contadict, but you either like the music or you don't - you shouldn't be influenced by other people and what they think, or you will become just another one of the 'posers' and followers that you seem to hate so much.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this song originally by the Jackson 5? ...Well either way, this is what I think. When I saw this, before I heard it, I was like "Ok, how lame can you get." Then I listened to it and I was like "I shouldn't be suprised, MCR can make any song awesome." I think they're the only band who can turn something as cheezy as that into such an awesome rendition.

Lol...That last comments cute!I just wanna say that I love this band and I agree with Kia and Nanerboat...MCR haven't sold themselves out.They're still singing the same music that they always have been, so why does it really matter if they are getting a bigger fan base.I mean, sure, it's annoying when little try hards only like a band coz they think it's cool.But just because My Chemical Romance has a song on MTV, it doesn't mean that their music is any worse.This band is fucking awesome and the more they're recognised for that...The better.

i think this is an awesome cover- i mean mariah carey is such a fuckup and mcr just turned it and made this song awesome.
i glad ther putting put videos- ther my favourite band and i wudnt hav heard of them otherwise.
i know it sucks when bands go mainstream but these guys are still ther own band and i love this song!!
