Ooooh

I feel these four walls closing in
Face up against the glass
I'm looking out, hmmm
Is this my life I'm wondering
It happened so fast
How do I turn this thing around
Is this the bed I chose to make
It's greener pastures I'm thinking about
Hmm, wide open spaces far away

All I want is the wind in my hair
To face the fear but not feel scared

Ooh, wild horses I want to be like you
Throwing caution to the wind, I'll run free too
Wish I could recklessly love like I'm longing to
I want to run with the wild horses
Run with the wild horses, oh

Yeah, oh oh, ye-yeah

I see the girl I want to be
Riding bare-back, care-free
Along the shore
If only that someone was me
Jumping head-first, head-long
Without a thought
To act and down the consequence
How I wish it could be that easy
But fear surrounds me like a fence
I want to break free

All I want is the wind in my hair
To face the fear, but not feel scared

Oooh, wild horses I want to be like you
Throwing caution to the wind, I'll run free too
Wish I could recklessly love like I'm longing to
I want to run with the wild horses
Run with the wild horses, oh

I want to run too
Oooh oh oh oh
Recklessly emboundening myself before you
I want to open up my heart
Tell him how I feel, ooh ooh

Oooh, wild horses I want to be like you
Throwing caution to the wind, I'll run free too
Wish I could recklessly love like I'm longing to
I want to run with the wild horses
Run with the wild horses
Run with the wild horses

Ooh ooooh ooh ooh ye-yeah yeah oohh
I want to run with the wild horses, ooooh

To me this song means just letting go of the stress of life and just having fun and being free. but in another view point, in the song she says," I wanna open up my heart, tell him how I feel," so it could have something to do with a relationship, so this song could have various meanings.

not really a comment on the meaning of the song... but there's a bonus track of some sort later in this particular track... anyone knows the title?

This is a really pretty song. I think the meaning is about how she wants to break free and she wishes she could just run in the wind forever. Yes a little cheesey but VERY pretty.

I think that this song is about feeling overwhelmed with all the responsibilities in her life. She is saying that she has to many things to needs to take care off, and it is gettin stressful. She is saying that she wants to be free of all these burdens, she wishes that she could just "run with the wild horses" who have no responsibilities in life. She just wants to escape from the world.

I love this song. I think it's about a girl who found herself giving up love for a life that's more 'stable' and that won't have as many risks. But deep down she still loves the man she is talking about, and she wishes she could be brave enough to face her fear for her love, though it could hurt her badly.

The song gives me story ideas. And I do love horses too, so it's one of my favorites.

    ((btw LOL Someusername, I agree))

i think that this song means that she is feeling that she is wasting her llife. she feels that she wants to be a horse because they don't have to worry about anything. she wants to be free of the life that she is living

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."
