This is a beautiful song and I love this band-- it's starting to gain a little buzz (even though the likeliest place to hear the songs is still Myspace.com) and I'm surprised it wasn't on here; I had to add it myself.

I see this song as being about a meaningful, old friendship gone wrong. The first part critisizes the subject of the song; the second part, after the chorus, indicates that it was really the storyteller who had done something wrong. It is about the decay of a mutual relationship.

I agree with lovefool and thanks for posting these songs. I think this band is awesome, I heard them through an new indie radio station and found them on myspace. When I first heard them I was blown away. I love how theyre songs just make you want to get up and dance.

i really love this song, the lead singer sounds like alex kapranos outta franz ferdinand a bit. it always seems to be i find a band i really like just as soon as they are being hyped up on mtv :( ah well, us lot are ahead of the pack eh they are gonna be well famous i bet ya xxxxxx

no, the lead singer sam endicott does not sound like alex kapranos or brandon flowers, sam has a deeper depth in his voice and it's alot more melancholy that alex or brandons, i think this song is sam explaining to someone who has fallen out of friendship with him and apologizing without saying "i'm sorry".

I read somewhere that Sam Endicott uses this song as a homosexual reference. As in he he kissed like one of his friends when drunk and it was an honest mistake and that person doesnt want to talk to him anymore.

This song is amazing. I have to say the singer reminds me of Morrissey, in the way he holds the mic and the way he does his hair. Anyone else think that?!

I saw these on tv the other night; the lead singer said the song was about an old friend of his (female I think) that he fell out with after he said something stupid that offended her. Apparently she became a rabbi later in life, although whether that's anything to do with him I don't know.

This song is so awesome, I heard the whole album and it's so kickin.
The story behind when I heard of them is so random. I found this pin at a music store that was free cause they had a whole bunch of them so I took it, and decided to listen to the band and it happened to be really damn good!

My friend was lucky enough to see The Bravery in an intimiate venue here in Glasgow before they got even this big...I really wish I'd seen them now as I've fallen in love with them. I downloaded Unconditional before Christmas and it blew me away. Sam Endicott is also very hot. I always thought this song was about a drunk mishap, like he cheated on his partner or something...interesting to hear some other interpretations too:)

i love the bravery, been to a couple of shows, bought tix for two more. listened to the album to death and have chatted with the band.

I first heard this song at a retail store where I work (Forever21). After I heard it...I cyber-hunted them down! lol Found them on myspace, will buy their cd on tower.com, etc! They're really good. BTW, the dominoes in their music video for Honest Mistake (my favorite Bravery song ever) was amazing. 0=)

Um. Strokes.. anyone?

It is a good song but the singer has that same muffled sound and his voice is a reminiscent of julian casablancas or whatever his name is.
