i believe the song is called Do Re Mi, but he actually sings "Dough, Ray, and Me" which is the bootleg name...it was also called 'Me and My IV'.

ummm.. is it just me or does "dough ray me" sound exactly like "do re mi" so pretty much hes singing the same damn thing... but what the fuck do i know... all im using is common sense

okay i was just telling you what i know about the song...and if you think dough ray and me have the same meaning as Do Re Mi then i'm sorry, but you're a fucking retard.(im not calling anyone a retard)i'm just saying if you think the meanings are the same...but whatever. this is one of my favorite songs by nirvana...although not everyone played on it. i WAS using common sense and i believe kurt was when he wrote the song. if hes singing dough ray and me, he has a TOTALLY different meaning in mind than if he were singing Do Re Mi...which is common sense too. DUH. it may sound the same, but it has a different meaning and oh shit! i forgot! this IS songMEANINGS. ha but whatever...if you like being a dickhead to people, that's your choice.

umm... i was just saying it really doesnt matter what you think hes singing... its pronounced the same... besides theres no fuckin offical lyrics sheets to this song, it was basically a demo, prob with scratch vocals he improvised... its not like it was finished... and the offical boxset has it listed as do re mi... if they really thought it should of been dough ray me.. im sure they would have put that in the track list... but hey theres taht pesky common sense shit again!

Do Re Mi is Dough Ray Me in spanish, it is used as the note identifier in that language. He got it right when it was named Do Re Mi. Dough Ray Me would be incorrect.

it would be incorrect, yes, but kurt spelled his name Kurdt sometimes, which is incorrect. kurt didnt always follow all the rules...which may be the reason he was such an outstanding songwriter. as for the box set, it was NOT put together by kurt, and therefore many things may be incorrect. and YES, there was an official lyric sheet. not so much official, but the outlines and basic skeleton of the song which is written "Dough Ray and Me" and kurt also called it Me and My IV a few times when they played it in between songs

You are all wrong (and stupid) He is saying Doe Raimi, and this song i a tribute to Sam Raimi, then of evil dead fame. They used the blood and guts of a young dear to simulate a lot fo the gore of the movie. If you look at the lyrics again you'll see that it depicts a lot fo the stuff that happens in the movie.

Kurt liked to sing things that could have all sorts of different meanings and spellings. He did it quite a lot. He would sing two lines that sound exactly alike but he's saying two different things. That's just how he was. He could be singing "Dough Ray Me" or whatever, but I'm sure he means all sorts of possible things.

alright...it's 'do re mi'. If you listen to the song, throughout the entire thing, Kurt PLAYS the rest of it, "do re mi fa so la ti do" on guitar. It's obviously 'do re mi'.

This is some of the reasons wjhy I haven't gotten the box set yet. They're just doing it to make money, and they are putting on tracks that Kurt might not have wanted to be out in the open, atleast not untill they were finished. So even if I love nirvana to fucking death, fuck this song..
