Lyrics for Save Me as interpreted by Alucard

Save Me Lyrics
Had a bad day
Don't talk to me
Gonna ride this out
My little black heart
Breaks apart
With your big mouth

And I'm sick of
My sickness
Dont touch me
You'll get this
I'm useless
Lazy, perverted
And you hate me

You can't save me
You can't change me
Well I'm waiting for my wake up call
And everything
Everything's my fault

Went to the doctor
And I asked her
To make this stop (whoa)
Got medication
A new addiction
Fuckin' thanks a lot

Had a relapse
I'm bad at rehabs
Ruins everything (whoa)
So point your finger
At the singer
He's in the pharmacy

You can't save me
You can't change me
Well I'm waiting for my wake up call
And everything's my fault

You can't save me
You can't blame me
Well I'm waiting here to take the fall
And everything
Everything's my fault

And I'm a death threat
Haven't slept yet
Baby, why the wake up call?
I'm the bad boy
tell the tabloids
everything's my fault

(Whoa)
Yeah
Write it
Write it
(Whoa)
Everthing's my fault
Everthing's my fault

I went to heaven
I Couldn't get in
For what I had done
I said please take me
They said you're crazy
You had too much fun

You can't save me
You can't change me
Well I'm waiting for my wake up call
And everything's my fault

You can't save me
You can't blame me
Well I'm waiting here to take the fall
And everything
Everthing's my fault.

You can't save me
You can't change me
(Everthing's my fault)

Everything's my fault

Wow, heard it on the way home from basketball practice and it describes my situation

Obviously this song is just another radio hit that most likely wont have a lasting effect.
However, this song touches me because I am a senior in highschool and it seems like im getting hassled for everything. The singer is saying that he wants to be saved but he doesnt want to change who he is. I want to be helped out in this point in my life too, but i do not want to be changed into somebody im not, so it seems like everythings my fault.
The verses of the song talk about specific events when he is failing and the chorus complements it nicely.
Im new to "Unwritten Law" but i will prolly pick up the CD.

what are you people talking about, this song relates to none of you. someone please tell me how you relate to this song.

also this website isnt about telling people that you like a certain song, its about trying to find out the song meanings hence the name of the website.

i am kind of confused with the meaning of this song. i think it might have a religous meaning in that he goes to heaven and such and also the title of the song is save me which has an odvious religous meaning.

i dont think this songs meaning is self defined. he was addicted to heroin and hard drugs for a long time and they supposedly broke up and were on haitus for a long time and i think this song is just a sort of way of coming back onto the scene and saying what went on while they were gone.

You can't save me,
You can't change me,
Well I'm waiting for my wake up call,
And everything, everything's my fault.

I think this means he's going through a tough time, but it has nothing to do with anyone else. His problem lies within, and he doesn't want someone to try to save/help him because it'll change him.

Also, I think it's 'I said please take me, they said you're crazy' not 'I said forsake me, you said you're crazy'.

To me this song is about wanting to change for the better, but needing a little help to get there. Like when you know you've messed up and you want to fix it, but you're just not quite sure how to yet. Unwritten Law is pretty cool. They've changed a lot since the last time I've heard them. But I definately am looking forward to the new CD.

I've gone to the doctor.. I've been given medications.. I've gotten addicted to them.. I've overdosed on them.. I've went to a psych ward.. I've had insomnia for years.. I've almost died.. I've thought about heaven and not getting in because of having fun.. and I've just about done everything in this song. I think everyone who has said they relate to this song is an idiot. I just looked for the song because I heard the last part about heaven and liked it because I've thought about it. When I looked at the rest of the lyrics I liked it more. The song is just about being stuck.

If the song is just about "being stuck" then everyone can relate. So shut up about it already. If people find themselves relating to this song, that is good for them. It's based on their interpretation of some of the lyrics, not yours. So, pretty much saying they don't relate is like saying the cookiemonster doesn't like cookies. It's not only very pointless, but makes the whiners look like complete and utter morons.

I agree with God2005's comment. When Russo says "You cant save me, you cant change me..." Well he is relating the age old comment, "YOU CAN ONLY CHANGE YOURSELF!" He probably refering to people that wanted him to stop taking drugs. "Waiting for my wake up call," He's waiting for some huge thing to happen to make him stop taking drugs. He goes to the doctor, gets medicine to help cravings but gets addicted to them. Classic drug song.

I heard this song while listening to the radio at work and it floored me. Everyone at one time or another feels the things mentioned in it. To me it screams of trying to go clean and failing...screw it, one last hurrah and he overdoses. Gets to heaven and can't get in. Also, should it read "Baby wide awake at dawn?" Or "Baby, why the wake up call?"

i hate this video, i do, i'm sorry. i think it's just...stupid. it follows the bloody song EXACTLY down to the word, as if the song didn't tell a clear enough story... and the animation... it just bugs me. i love the song still though...
