We all hope
To signal kin
Days of gold
Now rain on tin
Gather round
Gather friends
Never fear
Never again

    My Interpretation

I've never come across anyone who has the same idea about this song that I do, so I'll assume I'm hearing things that aren't really there. But here goes anyway. I loved this song long before I knew it was about the twin towers attack but from the very first time I heard it the part that begins at around 2:58 made me picture jets taking off. I don't mean the music sounds like jets, I just mean that I would get an image in my mind of jets taking off. I never really thought much of it until I did find out the song has a lot to do with the attack. Once I realized that, the rest kind of came together. Starting around 3:27 it sounds like the two guitars playing off each other are two planes coming from different directions but heading toward the same point in space at approx 3:38. The rest I think is pretty clear. From 4:15 to 4:43 the fires get hotter and hotter, the steel gets weaker and weaker as a horrific day comes to it's horrific climax. Then, collapse. I'm sure it's just a coincidence that this part lasts right around 20 secs which is the total time the two towers took to collapse. So yeah, that's what I hear, maybe I'm crazy but give it a listen and see what you think.
