General Comment:The Slog is a cut up of lots of zeps tunes, it was the first single released in GB where all the parts were sampled. The b side is Page n Plant but not in the order it appears on the vinyl, so lets have no more debates about it. I put it together and still have 50 copies on red vinyl to prove it. There is also an interview in the independant with myself n Plant
discussing how it was put together. As far as the guitar goes , even Jimmy has his off day now n again. Cor you should hear the 12" version

General Comment:This was a bootleg vinyl single released ages ago, called "The Slog" informally amongst collector circles. It was, in fact, the Plant vocals extracted by an age old centering process (noise cancel anything in the left and right channels, thus leaving a centered vocal). The guitar was added by an unknown guitarist for this bootleg. So pretty much a fake, not a legitimate acoustic rendition.

General Comment:O.K. someone definatly put Plant's vocals on someone else's instrumentals. The song doesn't sound half bad and would be even better if Page and Plant would actually record it.

General Comment:For everyone who calls this a fake... it's not. The guitar is Jimmy style, and the voice is too Plant to be faked. The style is, if not Zep, then at least very early Page & Plant (from Bron-Y-Aur Cottage during the sessions for LZ III, perhaps?).

I don't know if this is true or not, but from what I've heard, Zeppelin experimented with an acoustic version of Black Dog to pop up during the acoustic sets in their tours, much like what tehy did with Dancing Days in a couple shows in '77, only it didn't work out. Again, I don't know if it's true, but it's what I've heard.
