Lyrics for Come Crash as interpreted by proof_of_death

Come Crash Lyrics
"That's luck", she led. "We should be dead."
We eyed the wreck. "Good god", we said.
She plants one kiss for the road on my chest.
Salvage came after we left.

Christine, come crash on my floor.

"That's luck", she said. "We should be dead."
We should be stars and perfect tens -
And that's just three off the top of my head
Once again, you're a godsend."

Christine, come crash on my floor.

"That's truth," she said. "We should be dead.
I should be sleeping in your bed.
Instead, I'll crash on your floor."

Christine, come crash on my floor.

I absolutely love this song, I can't believe no one has commented yet.
I think it's pretty self explanitory - a car wreck, and the lovers are really happy that they're just alive.

In the first stanza, though, I know it's supposed to be "sirens came after we left"
not salvage

I love the double meaning of "crash" in this song.

Wow... I saw a whole other meaning...

To me, it seems like they're really fucked up on drugs and alcohol and he just really wants to sleep with her. "Christine come crash on my floor" is the only way he knows how to ask her... I think it's in the way he says it- over and over again- almost like a broken record the way you feel coming down after a hard night of drugs and alcohol...

i kinda thing that Christine's dead ' the 'sirens came after we left'
constantly repeating how lucky they are. the guy's sad, she cant sleep in his bed, but she'll crash on the floor. he's telling her 'Once again, you're a godsend.'...
i dont know, it so confusing. and really sad.

I think Christine died in the car accident, and at first he thought that they both survived and were really luck to do so but then he realizes shes dead. this realization comes at "That's truth," she said. "We should be dead.
I should be sleeping in your bed.
Instead, I'll crash on your floor."

The "I'll crash on your floor" is him giving up, giving in to death to be with his love.
