This song doesn't even need lyrics. Whenever I listen to it, I can imagine a montage of a guy in love during the summer. It's such a pretty song.

I like this song. Its suprisingly terse and to the point. A nice change from most of the overly long songs on Physical Graffiti. This song is an offcut from "III" by the way.

It shows that the band had dynamics.
They always went for the big picture instead of the proto-type.

I listen to this over and over again like 15 times in a row. I think it's one of their best pieces. I'm not sure what it reminds me about... Is it true that it has words??? I'd like to hear it.

In fact it was perfomed live the first time two weeks before "Led Zeppelin III" came out. :)

davegrohlfan, Little Martha by the Allman Bros band is the most beautiful acoustic song ever, followed by classical gas. Bron-yr-aur stomp is a close third.

I wasn't sure what to write until I looked at the question 'What does this song mean to you?' and I realised:
This song means everything to me; it doesn't need words or accompaniment, its just Jimmy being Jimmy. It doesn't matter that he hits a few wrong notes either, because its Jimmy and it adds to the greatness of the song. I love this song.

quote from Rolling Stone magazine March 1975

Plant - "It (Bron-Yr-Aur) was a great place. 'The Golden Breast' is what it means. The place is in a little valley and the sun always moves across it. There's even a track on the new album, a little acoustic thing, that Jimmy got together up there. It typifies the days when we used to chug around the countryside in jeeps."
"It was a good idea to go up there"

oh yeah and the reason it sounds so cool is that its in a wierd open tuning and it has reverse echo on it

One of the most awesome guitar pieces Jimmy Page has given us. I never get tired of hearing it, and I always wish it were longer.
