Lyrics for I'm Still Your Fag as interpreted by loveisaverb

I'm Still Your Fag Lyrics
Heard about your wife and kids where we slept
Felt their mouths with stitches at that were slowly lit
Kept your uniform this time because I couldn't quit
Haven't felt the ground so cold without getting sick

And i'm still your fag
I'm still your fag

It's a possibility to live without lips
Clinic love to fill right up with the broken kids
I swore I drank your piss that night to see if I could live
But my wrists couldn't stand the light that we missed

And i'm still your fag
I'm still your fag

You're only coming out because you came back in
You're only coming out 'cause you came back in

I'm still your fag
I'm still your fag

I always thought it was "kept your uniform this time" not "capture"
and yeah, "life" not "light"
i think this is a really wonderful song.

i think it's about a past relationship, and the boyfriend just now finds out that his ex is with a woman/has a family or whatever. and maybe the "straight" guy is a little ashamed of his past/tries to hide it, so the "i'm still your fag" is a bit mocking on the part of the ex boyfriend of the fact that the married man is sort of living a sham.

Wow! Thanks count to ten. I've never noticed that, about the "lit" and "couldn't quit". What is there not to like about Broken Social Scene? They're great!

i think this song could also be about a man who used to date another man a long time ago (maybe in college/high school or something) and they were in love or whatever, and then years later after they broke up, the gay man (the one singing) finds out his ex-lover is now living a straight life. i'm not sure though.

i also think it's interesting the use of "fag" in relation to cigarettes and words like 'lit" and that he "couldn't quit" in the first verse. dunno, thought that was interesting.

this song is most assuredly about a married man's affairs with a man. The man doesn't want to come out and the boyfriend is OK with it "I'm still your fag" at the end of the song the man discovers who he really is and comes out, but the boyrfriend questions his reasons for coming out.

Yeah, I didn't know what to make of the lyrics but Parachutes has kinda opened my eyes a bit.

"It's a possibility to live without lips" I think is referring to the hush-hush nature of the man and the boyfriend's relationship.

Sounds like it's a song about a married man getting down with his boyfriend (on the side) from the boyfriend's point of view.
