wow, i can't believe nobody has commented on this song yet. such an amazing song from the new album. anyway...judging from what the overall tone of you fail me seems to be, i think that this song is meant to be an 'encouragement' to the downhearted. jake bannon has such a unique way of creating poetic imagery...in this song, the message seems to be to not give up, to keep on. whatever the circumstances may be, or whatever may have happened, you still have to go on and to not give up. i think this is especially evident in the last part of the song (keep breathing, keep living/keeping searching etc etc) good stuff.

I'd have to agree with you on that. Im so glad I decided to check this band out. They are really good, and quite different compared to alot of stuff I'v heard. I love the lyrics too....

It gave me chills when Converge opened with this song..Such an amazing introduction to a great cd. Refused17 pretty much summed it up with the meaning of the song.
If you haven't seen Converge live yet, you are missing out. Jake bannon looks lika a ragdoll on stage its unforgettable.

haha me2 love it, the lyrics, the emotion in his voice, it so fucking great ..
and yes i saw converge last week or something, the where fucking amazing, and i almost broke a leg :D
stage diving is dangerous buissness, and jacob ripped a tee of mine apart haha love that dude and his lyrics are amazing... especally on jane doe and you fail me

It's defenitly different from the normal converge but it's still a damn good song and the intro track "First Light" is damn good too.

This song is fucking amazing. I love this stuff. And I used to be scared of hardcore, but now I'm like, yeah, okay...these guys rock harder than anything I've ever heard, and they sound fucking grrrrrrreat!!!!

i know that it's "soul survivors" in the lyric sheet, but i really think the first line would be a lot better and make more sense if it were "sole survivors." i can understand what "the strength of sole survivors" would mean. imagine being the only person to survive some sort of disaster and the strength it would take to go on despite so much death around you. "soul survivor," though, means nothing to me. semantics aside, though, this song is perfect and, to me, the way Converge should sound.
