Lyrics for Bury Me In Black as interpreted by TheShowerScene

Bury Me In Black Lyrics
I said, we'll drown ourselves in misery tonight
I lied, you've worn out all your dancing shoes this time

Just give us war, worn lipstick by the door if I inflame

These eyes have had too much to drink again tonight
Black skies, we'll douse ourselves in high explosive light

Just give us war, I've been calling you all week
for my shotgun

Pick up the phone
Pick up the phone fucker

I wanna see what you're insides look like
I bet you're not fuckin pretty on the inside
I wanna see what you're insides look like
I wanna see em

Well you don't say
And well I can explain what happened to my face
late last night
I'm sleepin next to pools in vacant alleyways
And what I'm goin through, shot lipgloss through my veins
And when I can't complain
With the falling rain

C'mon

I wanna save your heart
I wanna see what your insides may be

this song reminds me of the black dahlia murder's "closed casquet requiem"
the singer talks about loving someone to the point of ripping that person to pieces to see her insides.

this song is about black people and how hard it is for them to get pap smears on tuesdays and thursdays. being a pap smear activist, its hard for me to muster up the courage to enforce the proper pap-on-smack smearstain laws in this country. pap smears are given out like sugar smacks elsewhere, yet why in america do smears and paps go together like kellog's fruit loops? it really makes you think, particulary about the movie "Roll Bounce" and its effects on pap smear culture.

to Facking Hell:
Well, It's not bad, I'm not affected by wether it's overplayed on MTV or not.
I don't know if you would classify Black Dahlia Murder in the same genre, but if you must know they're my favorite band right now.
BDM>>>>>>>>>>>>>Everything else.
I also like emperor, children of bodom and anorexia nervosa.

Death Rock?
you mean like Death Metal?
No death metal, is heavier, crappier more violent like Cannibal Corpse.
My Chemical Romance is surely Pop, some of theri songs have the honor of being Emo, like this one, i hope they make more songs like it.

Death Rock is nothing like Death Metal...its a subgenre off of Punk. Heres a little thing taken off of Wikipedia.com

Deathrock emphasizes a creepy atmosphere and an introspective mood within a characteristally punk or post-punk music structure. Songs typically use simple cords, echoing guitars, a prominent bass, creative drumming, and repetitive or tribal beats, all within a 4/4 time signature. To create atmosphere, scratchy guitars and/or keyboards are used and experimentation with other instruments to produce unusual sounds is encouraged.

Lyrics are typically introspective and angsty; they deal with the dark themes of isolation, irony, disillusionment, loss, death, etc. all of which are designed to strike an emotional chord with the listener.

However, this places a great demand on the lead vocalist to convey complex emotions, so the lead vocalists are typically charismatic and have strong, distinctive or unusual voices in order to stand out from the heavily atmospheric and rhythmic music.

If you want TRUE Deathrock listen to TSOL's 'Dance With Me', 45 Grave's 'Autopsy' or Christian Death's 'Only Theatre Of Pain'.

ermm this song is like crazy cool and darkly wonderful I wonder what lip gloss feels like in my veins anyone wanna gimme sum lol

I like how rough and messy this song is. It shows MCR's versitality with their style. I love that about MCR. THey like to try new things and that they change style in some songs. It helps them avoid pigeon holing (sp?)
the word on the street is that MCR's new album is gunna be be a bit different than thier other stuff. so just remember that they rock and have an open mind or else you might develop a "taste" eww lol

I'm with Emocore all the way, like atreyu, black dahlia murder, bring me the horizon, children of bodom, from first to last and bullet for my valentine.

I hope that's what they'll sound like.

Conformity?!
I beg your pardon???!!!
They've barely done ONE song which actually sounds good, and i stuck with them thinking they'd evolve from being a pathetic pop-punk band and prove their versatility by making one freaking emocore album, JUST ONE.
But now they're going back to the drawing board hoping they'll come up up with another "Ghost Of You", thus dissing all my plans for a perfect band, leaving me, and all the other fans awaiting music that ressembles the likes of "Hang'Em High", behind.
If you ask me, they have become the true meaning of conformity.
I'm not saying they should be EXACTLY like BDM, but at least make a style close to it.

RIP My Chemical Romance, I thought we had something.
