I came here to find out out what other people thought about this song and i'm sitting here reading what all you fine young people have to say, i'd like to put in my two cents. Myself, I think of MCR as categorized as death metal, yes good old death metal, but that's just me . But who really gives a shit if they are punk, pop, emo , or whatever, who care's if they are on MTV, they made it that's all that matters, i'm glad they did,(I was so excited after all this time to see them on TV, i think I may have peed my pants a little) you seem like you are all glad they did. Who cares if people talk about how cute frank is or how hot gerard is(and they are) , who gives a shit that's their opinion and you know secretly it is yours too, Some people just have to say it outloud to be heard. We all like the band for their music that's why we buy the albums, so if someone heard the band for the first time in a shit hole in jersey three years ago or for the first time on trl yesturday and really digs the music today who cares,(it doesn't make them a poser it makes them a new founded fan or an old fan for three years) maybe they like one song the only one song they heard that will make them go out and buy the album, or maybe they know every song by heart that MCR wrote, who cares? What matters is that we are all here for the very same reason, we are all fans and we should continue to be fans and not judge anyone. This is after all a song meaning board.

By the way, Thursday is also one of the best bands i have ever listened to, make sure to buy or download their latest album "War all the Time" since their upcoming one still isn't on the shelves.

I LOVE THIS SONG

woo hoo MCS i get so pissed off when people wud rather bitch or talk about how cute the band are, this is about the music. ok yeah gerard, frank and mikey are all hotties, but thats not what makes the music, and if u listen to MCR cuz u fancy one of the band or its the cool thing to do ur pathetic!

the lyrics on this are great and have a real feeling of revenge to them. 'I bet you're not fuckin pretty on the inside' so totally mcr. but then are totally romantic 'I wanna save your heart

This song is definitely one of their good ones. Not my favourite, that would have to be Shut Up And Play/Disenchanted.
It is a vicious song, and it is not similiar to much of the other songs musically on Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge.
It is hard to understand what it means.. I personally believe that it is about some knid of uncontrollable anger with a person, that has driven him to insanity, hence the almost insane way he sings in this song. God it's so hard to talk about a song when your listening to something else by the same artist.
Another miracle creation by My Chemical Romance.
And if you haven't heard Shut Up And pLay/Disenchanted.
Then listen to it please, it's a track supposedly going on their latest album, the one after Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge.
And it is quite harsh for all those that prefer the, umm, less poppy, MCR.

This song is certainly one of their hardest... so hard in fact that I (who loves their first album as much as their second) don't particularly care for it. I love the lyrics, but not so much the tune. Meh
I have to completely disagree with the claim that their new song Disenchanted(Shut-Up and Play) is hard and not for the poppy MCR lovers. I heard it for the 1st time at a concert. My friend and I looked at each other thoroughly perplexed and went home praying that MCR wasn't becoming Simple Plan. Any song might sound hard with Gerard screaming the chorus, but the melody sounded like something Good Charlotte might use crossed with some older 70's era guitar rifts.
But that's just my opinion

this song kinda reminds me of the vapors' "Turning Japanese"
in the song theyre like"I want a doctor to take your picture so i can look at you from inside as well" yeah totally different beat but if you think about it....it makes sense...considering it was on the Japanese Album

This song is about Gerard in his drunken stupor, and how horrible he was, driving him to the point of nearly wanting to kill someone. I read that one in an interview.

This song is the most motherfuckin' crazy thing I've ever heard.
" PICK UP THE PHONE, FUCKER!" And the screaming at the end is quite bone-crunching also. But I love it! I don't know what it means, but it sounds like a guy is a maniac who wants to shoot his girlfriend and chop her up to see her insides. " I bet you're not fucking pretty on the inside!!!"
