I love this song. Green Day is not a sell out or a so-called "poser". They write music and just because some of you dumbasses are stereotypical you have to have someone to bash. Well This song from Green Day was great. I've been a Green Day fan for years.I do't care if they're punk, pop, or w/e. I just love their music. No matter what they do I'll always be behind them...yeah its called be a TRUE FAN bitches.

Yes, a true fan doesn't care what genre it is, but there's a difference between being a fan of the music and being a fan of the band:

A fan of the band, which I think you are, concluded by reading your post, likes everything the band does and sings.

A fan of the music is only listening to the band's music as long as it's a certain kind of music, that the band plays.

I have to say that, if GD began to play mindless popular music, which they hopefully doesn't do, because I like they music they have done and are doing now.

I love the music Green Day does now and I guess it kinda bugs me when people are like...idk so hostile and say they're sell outs. They never said they'd stick to one genre did they? huh? yeah thats wat i thought. Just because they may be switching from genre to genre a little but doesn't mean they're sell outs. I'm pretty sure that this song this about when Jesus of Suburbia has finished experiencing the fun of being an in-your-face, rebel against society punk, he realizes that he has left everyone he ever cared about behind, and now he walks alone. Now he can't do anything but lifelessly walk through the city and see how alone he's become.

well it's great that everyone here has an opinion but thats all it is...an opinion... therefore no one can be right or wrong so stop freaking out about it. i dont understand why some of you seem to think that you and a select few are the only ones in the whole world who are allowed to like greenday or this song...i mean if was just for you they would record it and send it only to you-not sell it on albums and put it on the radio. i dont see the big problem about them being becoming popular, because i think that was the whole point--to get their voice heard to as many people as possible. clearly they have a comment on society so i dont think it was intended only for you few to get, it was meant for everyone to start questioning things that are going on today to make up their own minds and to not just follow the crowd. all the same awesome song.

U know Leena is right. What are we freaking out about, I mean wasn't SongMeanings made for people to state how they feel about a song. I kno I said some mean stuff about Radiogod and I'm sorry. Like normal for me I needed to hear the opinion of a female to see how dumb I was acting over a song. This song is exactly what Green Day needed to boost themselves. There are a lot of kids (well im 24, but my niece is 14 and doesnt know about Green Day but when I was 12 I did!!) who need to listen to Green Day. I love this song!!!
