Lyrics for Boulevard Of Broken Dreams as interpreted by da_coolio

Boulevard Of Broken Dreams Lyrics
I walk a lonely road
The only one that I have ever known
Don't know where it goes
But it's home to me and I walk alone

I walk this empty street
On the Blvd. of broken dreams
Where the city sleeps
And I'm the only one and I walk alone

I walk alone
I walk alone
I walk alone
I walk a...

My shadows the only one that walks beside me
My shallow hearts the only thing that's beating
Sometimes I wish someone out there will find me
Till then I walk alone

Ah-Ah Ah-Ah Ah-Ah Ahhh
Ah-Ah Ah-Ah Ah-Ah Ahhh

I'm walking down the line
That divides me somewhere in my mind
On the border line of the edge
And where I walk alone

Read between the lines
What's fucked up and everythings all right
Check my vital signs to know I'm still alive
And I walk alone

I walk alone
I walk alone
I walk alone
I walk a...

My shadows the only one that walks beside me
My shallow hearts the only thing that's beating
Sometimes I wish someone out there will find me
Till then I walk alone

Ah-Ah Ah-Ah Ah-Ah Ahhh
Ah-Ah Ah-Ah Ah-Ah Ahhh

I walk this empty street
On the Blvd. of broken dreams
Where the city sleeps
And I'm the only one and I walk a..

My shadows the only one that walks beside me
My shallow hearts the only thing that's beating
Sometimes I wish someone out there will find me
Till then I walk away!

"Yes, this song is shit, but random chords thrown in and played really fast with incoherent shouting added in is real music. Genius... "

i dont remember saying that at all actually imbored1023. i do remember saying antiflag are a good band though.

and CrPtFinch12 i looked up the lyrics because i saw the song on tv and wanted to know the lyrics. and then i commented on the song because i had an opinion on it!

and green day are really good, dont get me wrong, but they are going downhill. you have to agree with me there surely. perhaps i was a bit harsh before, but it just disappoints me that so many bands i used to like are going down the pisser.

"Yes, im a big dork, and i listen to Emo."

first of all WHOAA WHAT THE FUCK, nirvanafreak, where did you hear this fucking reched news? now that is, a reason to cry.

and to "bleeblee"
it isn't fucking mainstream. To people like you, who even have to think about that kind of shit, it may be mainstream, but if your a true GD fan, you're not worried about it because music is music, it doesn't need your oppinion, that's what went wrong, and why ppeople think punk is dieing. Green Day's music is an expression, not a billboard, and although they are on MTV and shit now, who the fuck cares, so they did something with there lives, hence why they wrote TIME Of you life, it was a goodbye to their true punk:agaisnt-the-media and people-like-you, selves. In agreeing with neocowboy, (whatever the fuck that means ha) anyone that calls american's idiots, and can sing zeig hiel to the president gasman.... fucking punk, if i could call anything that word. but dude, pop is not a word to use in relation to greenday man, it just isn't, if you are a fan you'd agree. you called it simple and catchy, sweet more reason to like it... did you forget a lot of punk is pretty simple when it comes to the 4 chord deal and style of repetition? times change, you can't expect punk's verizon's not to cover the slow aspect of BOBD nowadays.

..anyway that's my oppinion, you don't have to agree.

punk is a movement, and if you want to keep it alive we have to support eachother.

oh and a propos...my oppinion on the actual meaning of BOBD is really billie just again readdressing his anxiety to us. maybe a little bit of him wishing he wasn't famous and shit in saying, "sometimes i wish someone out there will find me," than when he says..."til than i walk alone," he's just again readdressing his state of (hate to use the cliche but,) emptiness.

when you have anxiety, (i would know, i've got it) you have a hard real time just sitting still, especially sleeping, he makes this clear when he sings,

" i walk this empty street
On the Blvd. of broken dreams

(^^he's not dreaming, he's up walking around, his dream was to be famous, and yet with all the millions of fans, he still finds himself walking along, "a broken dream")

imbored1023 - i like anti-flag but i;d have to agree with you about what you said about them, anti-flag wasnt a very good example

midnight angel - i saw that smallville episode actually, and i'd have to agree with you

i love this song, yeah it's different and it's very unlike of green day but they needed another song like time of your life. i hope though they don't keep going down this road because i do like their older stuff a lot better but this is a good song. this is mine and the girl who i have a big crush on's song. she got me into it so maybe that's why it means so much to me. just makes me think of her i dunno but i'm gonna stop rambling on. great song *two thumbs up*

Rock the 40oz dont put words in my mouth. ALL i said was that green day have gone downhill. i didnt say anything along the lines of people not being allowed to like this album if they like punk.

i just simply shared my opinion that green day used to better. sorry if i offended any precious people who cant take people having conflicting opinions. but im pretty sure sharing difrent opinions on music is what this site is about.

I don't particularly like this song; its melody's nice enough, but the average angstisch thirteen year old could have written the lyrics, which really disappoints when one compares it to the crackingly good tracks on the rest of American Idiot. I really dislike lyrics with one motif and no substance... so when listening to the song, I try to block out the words.

dreamface, buddy, you think an angst-like thirteen year old kid could right this? interesting. I can see a thirteen year old writing some emo song about how his heart is bleeding because of his week long girlfriend...but if you think about the song in billie's point of view, and stop listening to it as if some random 13 year old angst-like kid did, you'd understand it, and probobly not only like it a lot better, but appreciate it.

you would think that as the band members get older the band gets worse. well, green day just totally change that. their new album rocks. and i think its beautiful, no matter what you think of it... I don't think that a thirteen yearold could capture the beauty of this song.

I don't like this song. I think it's like a bad version of the Who's A Quick One While He's Away, except rock legends aren't playing, the story line is different, it isn't funny, and there's no Ivor the Engine Driver. That guy is awesome!

atthedrive-in, i think you have to get over the fact that simple plan is going to be the opening for green day's tour and whatever, if you like greenday's music, then that fucking rocks, but you don't need to jump on the same bandwagon everyone else is seeming to jump on theses days, which is basically comparing every band to who's selling out now, and who's really punk and who isn't. it's not about that. it's about what the specific band, in this case green day, means to you, and that's all.

the whole idea of "selling out" is a movement in itself, and it's made by all the american idiot's out there who are paying less and less attention to the music, and more and more attention to the media and publicity.
Fuck ALL of that shit.
