  General Comment:This song is probably about long distance relationships but to me it's about someone you're with everyday. When you're apart, even for short weekends or something, you always fight ("from hundreds of miles you cry like a baby you plead with me shout scream tell me i'm staying") and yet since you're together so much of the time it gets kind of mundane ("house after house you see car after car..). Sometimes you feel like you're faking it, but thats the last thing you want to be doing. you have to keep reassuring yourself that this is the person you love and should be with. ("i know i know i know what else are we here for?") it's like you take someone for granted and you have to remind yourself how much you love each other. "it's just this day..." is like reminding yourself that you're in it for the long haul and have a great love even if some days you feel discontented. "stick your hands inside my pockets, keep them warm while I'm still here.." sometimes you feel a sense of impermanence.. you want to be there for the person you love while you stick around... but at the same time you're so screwed up.. why else do you need to keep reassuring yourself? yup.

  My Interpretation:I think this song is looking at a couple that has been together for a while, and the romance is starting to dwindle. They still love each other and want to provide for each other, but the twitterpatedness is gone. I think the line, "you're one room right over, stressing and loving me," is her in one room and she can here him in the other working late to take care of her, even though they don't have the flame they used to. They fight, struggle, and wonder if it's still worth it. But because they've been together and genuinely want good for each other, they can't decide whether they should break up.
  
  Superficial love is fleeting. Love that is a choice lasts. It may be hard at times, but after you've stuck it out for years you'll feel a closeness you haven't experienced.

  shes just saying the first two 'I knows' to get someone off her back.
  she doesnt mean it. shes just saying it to say it.
  But the last/final 'I know' she comes to realization and it hits her hard.

  Song Meaning:I love Tegan and Sara, first off. I'm a huge fan.
  
  This song is about two people that are in love, but they find it hard to be in love. Sometimes they wanna leave each other and sometimes they can't help but feel that beautiful love they created.
  
  She's over-emotional and he tried to keep her happy. It's the truth behind what they make you believe relationships are. Most people are screwed up and it's hard. It's hard to be with someone day afer day when they see who you really are because you can't really hide anything when you live together, and when you love each other so much it transcends everything, you can't just leave it. It's a toss up. A sort of pull and give. That's what I got from this song. <3

  General Comment:I've loved this song for the last like 8 years
  for me it is about a couple who have been through a LOt together and they despite the struggles still love each other. It is a lot of work but they arn't giving up.
  "I wake up to the sound of you working. You're one room right over, you're stressing and loving me"
  so perfect.

  Song Meaning:if you notice their other songs they're mostly about long distance relationships and some girl leaves her to go across the country or something. whenever i listen to their songs im always like "OMG WHO IS THIS GIRL?! shes obessed with her, like seriously, she fell so hard for her or something." so i honestly think its about the same person in a lot of the songs. this song makes it really obivous. its a beautiful song, i love it.

  General Comment:Tegan and Sara did the perfect job with this song. It's beautiful, I love it. It definitely reminds me of my fiance. "From hundreds of miles.." It's long distance, and will be til this summer, so that definitely sparks it for me. "The same as I love you, you'll always love me, too. This love isn't good unless it's me and you." He could never love anybody but me, and I'd rather die than see myself will anybody but him. "I know my screaming and shouting won't keep you." Even so, we still fight, and I still get upset. But, "I know, I know, I know, I'm still your love."

  General Comment:such a heartbreaking but wonderful song. i agree that it's about two people really in love but being torn apart by the things around them...there's so many things stopping them from being together. i really love the lines "last night i was writing about you, i know my screaming and shouting won't keep you".
