We are riding for the battle field in force tonight
Fury of the darkest evil cry for war
Far beyond the boundaries of hell and starlight
On the road to lands unknown forever more

Through the caverns far below our quest will lead us
Onwards through the ice and snow forever more
Standing fighting full of hate the time has come now
Stand and sound the guns of glory cry for war

On wings of glory we will carry on
Far across forgotten lands towards the distant sun
And in the darkness shinning far beyond the starlight
Lightning is striking from the dark dawning shadows
And in the kingdom of the everlasting sun
When the glory of the master's time has come

Into the fires of forever we will fly through the heavens
With the power of the universe we stand strong together
Trough the forced of power, it will soon reach the hour
For victory we ride, fury of the storm!

We are the chosen one we can not fail now
Spilling all the blood on the fires below
Smashing through the boundaries with the fire and fury
Killing all the mortals down the winding road

Hell fires are raging the storm growing strong
On the path to victory towards the distant sun
And in the darkness shinning far beyond the starlight
Lightning is striking from the dark dawning shadows
And in the kingdom of the everlasting sun
When the glory of the master's time has come

General Comment:Ugh. The only good part of this is the halftime riff... before the idiotic senseless guitar wankery kicks in again.... cheesy power metal doesn't get cheesier. I can see why ppl like it though, but to consider Herman Li one of the greater guitarists is stupid.

Song Meaning:At face value, this song is about powerful gods fighting a climactic battle wielding the universe like a weapon. Deeper, it could mean the human race and how much potential we have: "With the power of the universe we stand strong together" means that we have the ability to achieve anything if only we stand united. Rumor has it that this song was inspired by a Player vs. Player on World of Warcraft that involved high level characters.

Blablabla we're on a crusade, rather typical Dragonforce stuff. Interesting thing of note though is that he claims to go beyond starlight, so they're combating something so dark that even the star's light won't be able to reach them. This could only be the dark lord himself, Satan.

"Through the caverns far below our quest will lead us,
Onwards through the ice and snow forever more.
Standing fighting full of hate the time has come now,
Stand and sound the guns of glory cry for war."
Once again just setting the stage. But they're certainly going into the deepest circle of hell now, as portrayed in Dante's the Divine comedy (not actual biblical canon but still commonly used in theatrics and the like) the innermost level of hell is actually a frozen wasteland. Chilled to the bone due to the pervasiveness of the darkness present and how no light continues to shine. It certainly fits eerily well with the previous lyric about being beyond the boundaries of what most would consider hell and beyond the reach of the star's light.

"On wings of glory we will carry on,
Far across forgotten lands towards the distant sands."
These warriors are angels ("wings of glory", c'mon) and these forgotten lands are probably another example of Dragonforce blending real geography with ethereal realms and dashes of pure fantasy. The sands could refer to the holy land, in ancient times it was considered the center of the world and directly bellow heaven and above hell. A trek across these "forgotten lands" (the events of which most today would consider to be myths) would bring them further along their journey.

"And in the darkness shining far beyond the starlight,
Lighning is striking from the dark dawning shadows.
And in the kingdom of the everlasting son,
When the glory of the master's time has come.

Into the fires of forever we will fly through the heavens,
With the power of the universe we stand strong together.
Through our forces and power, we will soon reach the hour,
For victory we ride, Fury of the Storm!"
Listening to this is when I first realized there might be some interesting Christian parallels. The everlasting son, glory of the master, etc. They're flying into the fires of forever (Hell is a one way ticket, it's forever) from heaven so clearly they're warriors of God (or as DF sometimes likes to call them in their other lyrics, "warriors of light"). The power of the universe is clearly a reference to God's omnipotence and how they will forever wield the ultimate power.

"We are the chosen ones, we cannot fail now,
Spilling all the blood on the fires below.
Smashing through the boundaries with the fire and fury,
Killing all the mortals down the winding road.

Hell-fires are raging, the storm growing strong,
On the path to victory towards the distant sands.
And in the darkness shining far beyond the starlight,
Lighning is striking from the dark dawning shadows.
And in the kingdom of the everlasting son,
When the glory of the master's time has come."
Etc. It's pretty self explanatory here.

Memory:Ah, Fury of the Storm that fateful night in Vancouver it snowed the next 12 hours after the concert I had a meet and greet with them; at that night Herman said "So f***ing cold" and they were wearing parkas

General Comment:I personally gotta say that this song has a huge religious aspect to it, especially Christianity.

"On wings of glory we will carry on"
possibly referring to angels or things like that, God helping or carrying people

"Far across forgotten lands towards the distant sun"
Traveling through this earth on the way to Heaven

"And in the kingdom of the everlasting sun
When the glory of the master's time has come"
In the kingdom of Heaven, Gods Glory will come

"Into the fires of forever we will fly through the heavens"
through the forces of evil we will reach our goal of the Heavens

"With the power of the universe we stand strong together"
replace the Universe with God, the Power of God lets people stand strong together and with resolve

"Through the forces of power, it will soon reach the hour"
Through the powers of evil, it will soon reach the final hour or Judgment day

"We are the chosen ones, we cannot fail now
Spilling all the blood on the fires below
Smashing through the boundaries with the fire and fury
Killing all the mortals down the winding road"
That basically says it for itself... Chosen by god, spilling the blood of the devils of Hell and destroying everything that they have built up, and killing all those who do not join us on our journey to heaven

"On the path to victory towards the distant sun"
on the road to eternal peace in heaven

that is just my personal interpretation, and to set the record straight i am not a religious nut trying to find Jesus on a piece of toast, this is from an entirely outside perspective and i think its ridiculously Christian, my opinion though
