Here come the morning that I say goodbye to ya
Here come the morning that'll say goodbye
But I don't turn around cause the reason is treason
Here come the morning that I say goodbye to ya
Here come the morning that'll say goodbye
But I don't turn around cause the reason is treason

See the stones coming at my window
See they left man no protection
T ell his family that he will be ok
K-I-LL!

Check the angles from both forces
Overcome by the need to fight it
Fight it fight it fight it fight it

Here come the morning that I say goodbye to ya
Here come the morning that'll say goodbye
But I don't turn around cause the reason is treason

I hear the sounds all around

Here come the morning that I say goodbye to ya
Here come the morning that'll say goodbye
But I don't turn around cause the reason is treason

Here come the morning that I say goodbye to ya
Here come the morning that'll say goodbye
But I don't turn around cause the reason is treason

Here come the morning that I say goodbye to ya
Here come the morning that'll say goodbye
But I don't turn around cause the reason is treason

I say!

General Comment:Left out the line 'I hear the sounds over the wall, I hear the sounds over the wall'. And it's 'Here come the morning THAT I'll say goodbye to you.' :-D

General Comment:Some of the lines make it sound like he was an anti war protestor because in WW1 and 2 men who didn't go to war were treated as hate figures having things like bandages covered in blood in their gardens. Rest of it is a mystery though

General Comment:This could be about the war on terror and the war in Iraq:

"See the stones coming at my window"

Terrorism. Not that major a threat to the average Briton, but very conspicuous.

"Ever since then I've not been conscious
to all the chains of dirt passed onto me"

...which makes people not pay attention to what their own government is doing.

    "Rubicon it's almost over
Rubicon has come so close to me

Turn back or we'll start the fire"

If we go to war in Iraq it'll stir up more conflict, and it's irreversible.

"See they left me no protection
Tell his family that he won't be ok
    K! I! L-L!"

The government's policies aren't offering any protection against terrorism. The last two lines might refer to someone going off to fight (and maybe die) in Iraq.

General Comment:I was wondering about the two versions. I like the faster one way better.. I dont know which one that is.. the one thats missing teh sirens bit.
anyway is absolute awesome. Its a protest themed song, exactly what was said about fighting the power and being blinded by rage - makes me think of Che Guevara, exactly that: using rage to fight the force and all that.....
    cheers

General Comment:Its about being fighting the power, but being blinded by rage as well.

At least thats what I got from a lot of the lyrics, especially "Overcome by the need to fight it"

General Comment:"it's also on a nutri-grain bar commercial."

Because nothing says moving product like protest music. (See also: Creedence Clearwater Revival, "Fortunate Son", and Wrangler.)

General Comment:I think this song is about how people are let down by thier government, especially considereing recent events. Kasabian have a kind of running thing with communism, and that would seem to continue here. Basicalle saying the government are wrong (reason) is treason. not 100% but thats wot i get out of it, especially after seeing the video. Not sure if it refers to Us or Uk tho, possibly commy russia, isnt serge russian or somethin? Think the churchill thing was probably sarcastic, cant see them being big fans of his! Love th song + album!
