Think of one moment you can call the happiest moment of your life it's gone
For me the thought that keeps playing over...over and over and over.
Is the day that I realized you were gone.

I can't believe this had to happen,
Please tell me why this had to happen to someone so strong.
I wish I could go back to see her, spend time with her.
But I can't instead I'm left with sadness.

Sitting here watching you, sitting here watching me, sitting here watching you melt away.

For me the thought that keeps playing over over and over and over and over again.

These thoughts are like poison to me.
Stay if you can.
Why can't I pretend that you're still here with us now, please stay with us now.
I can't stop these thoughts of you drifting away.

Cause I'm waiting, for something and if that something is to realize.
I'm waiting for something that is too real.

Wait smile do something.

I want to remember

General Comment:this has always been my favourite moneen song, and now it has completely new meaning to me because I lost my mom recently. I wish moneen could know how much this song is helping me, and probably many other grieving people. Kudos.

General Comment:I'm not sure what this songs meaning is Im sure it's like all you say about loosing someone.

But this song is very touching, it really makes you think.

It's definatly a good song when you feel like you need a good cry.

General Comment:The song is definitely about Kenny`s grandmother. Everytime before they play it live he says something a long the lines of "This song goes out to anyone who has ever lost anyone, and I want you to know that the best thing you can do is remember".

everytime i hear the first line i really feel like crying. this is the most amazing beautifully played songs i have ever heard. it never looses meaning. in the cd booklet kenny says something about everyone has their own way to deal with loss, and his is to remember.

General Comment:There's really no hint in this song to it being about a break up with a girlfriend....if he mentioned something about kissing or some other thing like that, then I could understand it being about that.

I think it's about the loss of a mother, grandmother or sister, hence the "it takes a long time to forget" lyric that the other people mentioned.

"why this had to happen to someone so strong" how does that relate to a relationship at all? He's singing about his sadness as well as the other persons sadness. That lyric just doesn't fit the whole break up thing.

General Comment:i can't get enough of this song. i want to listen to it a bazillion times, but it's so long. i usually skip up ahead because the intro is really long.
    i think it's about a loss of a girlfriend.
"please tell me why this had to happen, to someone so strong"

also if you listen carefully, i'm not positive exactly where. but it says "it takes a long time to forget"
and thats my favorite quote ever. because i can exactly fit that into the situation i'm in. at aproximetly 07:56.. go listen to it.. "waiit.. smile do something... (it takes a long time to forget) waaaaittt. smile do something (it takes a long time to forget)"

but the "wait. smile do something" that part made me realize it was about a death of a loved one. think about it. when your dead. you don't do anything. but he's saying "do something"

General Comment:It's a song about loss for sure. I've had it on constant repeat since my girlfriend and I broke up. Seems appropriate.
