Lyrics for A Walk Through Hell as interpreted by tjwells

A Walk Through Hell Lyrics
1,2,3...

and if i could swim,
i'd swim out to you in the ocean,
swim out to where you were floating,
in the dark,
and if i was blessed,
id walk on the water youre breathin,
to lend you some air for that heavin sunken chest,
cause they chose you as the model for their empty little dreams,
with your new head and your legs spread like a filthy magazine,
and they hunt you and they gut you and you give in,
and if i was brave,
id climb up to you on the mountain,
they led you to drink from their fountain,
spouting lies,
and id slay the horrible beast they commissioned,
to steer me away from my mission to your eyes,
and i'd stand there like a soldier with my foot upon his chest,
with my grin spread and my arms out in my bloodstained sundays best,
and you'd hold me,
i'd remind you,
who you are, under their shelves...

i'd walk through hell for you,
let it burn right through my shoes,
these soles are useless without you,
through hell for you,
let the torturing ensue my soul is useless without you...

and if they send a whirlwind id hug it like a harmless little tree,
or an earthquake,
i'd calm it,
and i'd bring you back to me,
and i'd hold you in my weak arms like a firstborn...

i'd walk through hell for you,
let it burn right through my shoes,
these soles are useless without you,
through hell for you,
let the torturing ensue my soul is useless without you...

Now id walk through hell for you.
Whats an adventurer to do but rest these feet at home with you?

I loved this song since the moment i heard it and it started my obsession for this band... they can do no wrong with me. The song is all about seeing something more in a person than they see in themselves and wanting to be there savour, helping them from the situation they have created for themself. The situation is very much so caused by the ppl they are surrounding themselves with who aren't half the person that he thinks she is and he would do anything to tell show her that. I went through this with someone but its hard to accept that ppl can only save themselves.

This is definitely one of my favorite songs ever made. I found it by random chance on the internet, and I listened to it hundreds of times in about 4 months. So great. I love the sole/soul word play.

BTW, if anyone knows where to find tabs for this song, please tell me. I can\'t find it anywhere and I REALLY want to learn this for guitar.

RememberToForget: I play all Max's songs on guitar and am happy to help you out with this one...www.geocities.com/stalk_on. search through and you'll find what you want.

This song was written by Max FOR HIS MOM. Sorry to disappoint some people, I'm sure, but lyrically, it can work as a couples thing too.

Whoever said this song should replace chia-like is clearly missing the whole point of the album.

The point was not to pick the best songs but to create a story, you cant just stick "the best songs" in there because people like them, its all part of the story. Buy the album and read the introduction.

this song is EXTREMELY romantic, but it's not soppy, which is hard to achieve. I just love it. I cant even put it into words how much.

First off this is the most amazing song ever! Second, i believe this song is about a girlfriend who has either died or left him. He is struggling to get her back. He's just thinking about it though on what he would do. He wants his love back in his life. At the end of the song he does it and gets ""her"" back. Its a great song to have your boyfriend say that it is your song! It's so beautiful =]]

this is such a small detail, but I love how you can hear Max smile while he's singing. Especially when he says, "and I'd stand there like a soldier with my foot upon his chest"

it shows how much he cares/loves about the person he's singing about, that it brings a smile to his face.

i love this song. it's probably my favorite say anything song. I can listen to it on repeat for hours and never get tired of it.

When he says

"and id slay the horrible beast they commissioned,
to steer me away from my mission to your eyes,
and i'd stand there like a soldier with my foot upon his chest,
with my grin spread and my arms out in my bloodstained sundays best,
and you'd hold me,

you can hear him smiling, and i can't help but smile along.

This was a while ago, but matt on said that Max wrote this song for his mom...

"With your new head, and your legs spread like a filthy magazine."

I'm not saying that matt's wrong by any means, but doesn't that strike anyone else as...well...really fucking weird?

Wafflepants is absolutely correct, Max Bemis is god. Except for when he did Most Beautiful Plague...it's the only SA song I've ever heard that I don't like.

To me, this song represents the ubiquity of longing for a continual post-mortuary deride into the abyss known as "Gehenna" which might also represent such subtle sensibilities as "Hell", "Frankenstein" and the more popular, "Inspector Gadget."

To me, Say Anything represents the tried and true anecdotes about police brutality and welfare reform. In addition, many legumes of the Brazilian variety seek justice within the social system, but Say Anything defies these legumes.

"C'mon lets have dessert", is a common social diatribe among nation's most popular leaders. A poignant example of this culmination of creation derives it's quintessential meaning in it's own epitaph. "How Stella Got Her Groove Back" realizes this notion in a multitude of singularities, but more importantly, pluralities. Moribundity is a sign of the times, and in this song, Say Anything is really "saying anything."
