When I heard this song, I instantly liked it && it made me cry!
I know this is a song about a relationship between lovers but I kinda thought of it differently.
My little sisters name is Emily, she is 11.
Right now my parents are going thru a divorce and my dad can't see her, only for 2 hours once a week supervised, because he got into drugs && tried to kill his self when my mom left, so the judge says its not good for her to be around his house til they know for sure he is doing better.
He didn't see her for a whole year and when he got to see her finally, he called me crying saying it hurts to see her because he misses her so much and he can't stand the fact that he has to be supervised while spending time with her.
It just reminds me of my dad and little sister because when he does get to see her, it makes his whole day and he is happy. But once their visit is over and a few days go on, he starts to miss her, but he's not gonna give up because he knows he gets to see her again.
This song yes is about love but the symbols in it should tell you Emily has committed suicide and he is wanting to be with her he wont kill himself because its not his time everything he says about her is a memory this is not a love song this is a suicde this is how he lost his girl friend this is how he remembers her and when he gets where hes going then hell see her and he hopes its worth the waiting
