Take everything left from me
All! to! blame!

How can we still succeed taking what we don't need?
Telling lies, alibis, selling all the hate that we breed,
Super-size our tragedies (you can't define me, or justify greed),
Bought in the land of the free, (land, free)

And we're all to blame,
We've gone to far, from pride to shame,
We're trying so hard,
We're dying in vain,
We're hopelessly blissful and blind,
To all we are,
We want it all,
With no sacrifice!

Realize we spend our lives living in a culture of fear,
Stand to salute say thanks to the man of the year,
How did we all come to this (you can't define me, or justify greed),
A greed that we just can't resist (resist)

And we're all to blame,
We've gone to far,
From pride to shame,
We're trying so hard,
We're dying in vain,
We're hopelessly blissful and blind,
To all we are,
We want it all,
With no sacrifice!

Tell me now,
What have we done,
We don't know,
I can't allow,
What has begun to tear me down believe me now,
We have no choice left with our backs against the wall!

And now,
We're all to blame,
We've gone to far,
From pride to shame,
We're hopelessly blissful and blind,
When all we need,
Is something true to believe,
Don't we all,
Everyone,
Everyone,
We will fall,

Cause we're all to blame,
We've gone to far,
From pride to shame,
We're trying so hard,
We're dying in vain,
We want it all,
Everyone,
Don't we all

My Interpretation:Its about everyone. How we want it all but wont get up off are sorry asses to do it. How we see starving people and corrupt politics and talk about how bad that is without doing anything. "We Want it all, with no sacrifice"

General Comment:This song is about the state of America because of our government and people that are too ignorant to make this world better, instead they want money.

"Telling lies, alibis, selling all the hate that we breed.
Supersize our tragedy! (You cant defy me or justify greed)"

Is a reference to American corporations, how we went to Iraq for oil, how we feed our generation junk. (Supersize is a possibly a reference to McDonalds.)

"Realize we spend our lives living in a culture of fear.
Stand to salute; say thanks to the man of the year.
How did we all come to this? (You cant defy me or justify greed)
It's greed that we just can't resist!"

Again, we just want money and power. And thanks to the 'man of the year' (George Bush) that is all we care about.

This song inspires me to change our corrupt world, one piece at a time.

My Interpretation:I believe this song is a criticism of the Iraq war (and the 21st century American reality in general)...

Anything CNN told us, we believed... Bush said let's go search for WMDs...we believed (man of the year)

We want our gas-guzzling super-sized SUVs because we feel ENTITLED, but we do all we do without the

thought to the repercussions of our actions. We don't care where the gas comes from, or who will fight

(and die) to support and sustain our lifestyle. While we lived it up, a rain of death, fire and mysery

plagued the middle east, our soldiers...the war...SLAUGHTER!

We were once PROUD, but then we became shameful in our actions and opulence. Ironically, since the song

was released, our economy has "re-adjusted" and we were forced to come down to earth a bit. A bit...But

    not too much.

General Comment:What I think the meaning of this song is:
Humans have become greedy, selfish, hateful and so on. We just take and don't give a shit about others. And we're all to blame, not one person, but all of us. I think the song want us to open up our eyes and do something about the society we live in, because there are nothing to be proud of anymore, just things to be ashamed of like war, corruption, racism and so on.

This is definantly one of my favorite Sum 41 songs :D

General Comment:it is a real eye-opener to what is going on in the world today. everyone is so quick to blame one another for what someone else has done, and an example is with Bush. i am not a fan of him, but every president has to clean up from the past one. he tried... but in a sense failed.

we want it all with no sacrifice is the truth, and i think that is the main point of the song, aside from that everyone is to blame for what happens in the world. everyone wants something, but doesn't want to do a thing for it. it's a sad, sad thing.
