the storys old --- you say this sounds like conor?? I love Conor Oberst and I love Jesse Lacey...two amazingly wonderful, talented musicians...but I really hear no similarities. Anyways, great song! I love Jesse's voice in it..especially in the lyric "i wanna see it when you get stoned

Brand New's cover owns Built to Spill's original. Sorry BTS lovers, but Jesse's voice blasts Doug's voice out of the water and the acoustic feel is better than the original funky indie sound. Go back to the Built to Spill pages if you wanna talk about em.

hey, what do you mean go back to built to spill pages? this is a forum, and talking about the original is totally relevant. anyways. i am a huge built to spill fan, and their version is fantastic, but brand new has managed to shell out a version comparable. i say, nice job.

this was a b-side to The Quiet Things That No One Ever Knows in the UK, along with an acoustic version of Moshi Moshi. Both songs were "Recorded July 4th 2001 at Mike Dubin's House during a party without the use of any real recording gear."... i think that is pretty darn cool as these are basically live tracks, both done in one take with awesome results.

I like the feel of this version compared to the Built To Spill original. I feel like this song is about breaking out and exploring whatever world appeals to you, appreciating the simple things and the things we let complicate ourselves. to simply be a person. all in all. i find it to be a simple song. which is why i like Jesse's voice in it. it almost feels like a lullaby singing someone to sleep. now i wanna cover this song.

I heard the Brand New version of the song before the original Built to Spill version, and upon just hearing the BTS song, I now believe the original is better.
