Seems like its about someone who does something they regret and feel really guilty about, but the line "destroy yourself, see who gives a fuck" and then the "see who gives a fuck" repeated later kinda seems like it just shows the person that nobody else really cares what he did in the first place.

it sounds like he might be telling someone that is feeling sorry for him self to get over it or he could go kill himself and see if people give a fuck "destroy you're self, see who gives a fuck" idk maybe.

i dont think this one has to do with politics. some of lamb of Gods songs do, but just cause a few do, doesnt mean they all do! great song though. "ill chain you to the truth for the truth shall set you free" is awsome!

Twist... The idea that the song is the victim tormenting his assailant seems like a pretty strong possibility, but it sort of reminds me of the telltale heart. In that story, it's never actually made clear whether the victim is tormenting the murderer or if he's only imagining it. Conscience is a powerful thing... Just sayin.

randy has said himself that the song is a narrative of a murder victim coming back and driving his killer to destuction

is the victim saying that if he could live one more moment it would be the moment when he taks revenge

I haven't seen the music video to this song in a while, but I believe it's showing a young guy running away from everything and everyone. This guy just killed somebody, and he screwed up all the rest of his life. (He'd trade all his other days away). Now he's hated by everyone because he killed somebody (Destroy yourself, see who gives a fuck).

sick song listen to this song when your really angry it helps i listen to it in the morning on the bus on the way to school to wake my self up best lyric would have to be SEE WHO GIVES A FUCK that just sends fucking mosh pits wat eva running around your head wanna see lamb of god soon in 2008 hope they come to sydney with a kick ass record :P

guitarsuperman does have some good points.

heres what i think, though:

i think its about admitting your faults rather than hiding them from everybody and making your life worse than it already may be.

anyways, this song is awesome...proably their best song. "ashes of the wake" and "new american gospel" are definently their best albums.

getting sent to prison for murder hense the lines: "the bloods on the wall so might as well just admit it". that one explains itself and your better alone could mean that he would be better spending some time alone in a jail cell. i dont think this is really what the songs about but just some thought's

This song is about drug addiction and other things that will harm you in life, seen from the perspective of the drug, the man taking it, and a man who is giving advice because he has already experienced it.


Man effected by drug: "If there was a single day I could live, a single breath I could take, I'd trade all the others away." - He is saying that he has been permanently scarred by the drug and wishes he could have one day were he was normal again.


The drug: "I'll make all your dreams come to life And slay them as quickly as they came." - Saying that once you have used the drug it will be amazing but afterwards the effects will be horrible and damage your brain.


Man giving advice: "Lay this to rest console yourself you're better alone destroy yourself. See who gives a f--k." - He is saying that you're much better off without the drug and even if you do take it no one will care that you died.

To me, this song seems to be about a soldier. At the beginning is his account. The first verse is about his conscience and the authority over him influencing it. He just killed some people. Then the chorus seems to be the command giving "orders" and trying to influence him. The second verse sounds like the command telling him how he will die/how they will "kill" him. I read these lyrics over quite a few times.

I'm not entirely sure of what the song is about (just that it's a great song - which can be interpreted many ways, I see it as being about giving up on life and feeling like nobody cares about you), but you religon bashers are just as ignorant as the people you claim to be bashing. You go on and on about "free thinking." But let's put this into perspective here: Atheism demotes free thinking just as much as Christianity does. Only now, instead of being forced to believe in God and Jesus Christ, you're being forced to NOT believe in God or Jesus Christ. Same difference, donchya think? Many of you have been brainwashed just as much as some Christians have. Only, in this case, you've been brainwashed by the bands you listen to - who often have anti-religious schticks mostly for shock value. You've been brainwashed into thinking that all Christians are these robots, who only believe what they believe because they're told to. Not true. There's quite a bit of logic that does, in fact, support the belief in some kind of higher power (for example, where did all this come from? How can something come from nothingness? How could order come from disorder? And so on). If you naturally don't really believe in God or Jesus Christ, that's fine. I'm not judging you. But that's a two-way street. If you don't want people to judge you for your beliefs, don't judge them for their beliefs.
