Your name
here, believe me,
it’s not what you think
Wish what
you want, It’s all the
same to me
Well not really,
but anyway
It’s just it’s nothing so simple,
nothin' so silly,
nothin' so mundane

Go east on Sunrise Highway
Turn left at Carmen’s Avenue
Go right at the first stoplight
I’ll be outside waiting for you
I'll be waiting for you

Your name in lights
It was only
a matter of time
Your name in parentheses
‘Cause after this mess
I guess you'd bet
that I’d collapse before you do
Well maybe that’s true,
or maybe it’s not at all

Go east on Sunrise Highway
Turn left at Carmen’s Avenue
Go right at the first stoplight
I’ll be outside waiting for you
I'll be waiting for you

Go east on Sunrise Highway
Turn left at Carmen’s Avenue
Go right at the first stoplight
and I’ll be outside waiting for you

General Comment:"I think you should go home now, Devin! Get back on San Vicente. Take it to the 10, switch over to 405 North and let it dump you onto Mulholland -- where you belong!"

General Comment:so me and my friend were out in long island
    and we followed the directions
it leads you to a planned parenthood, a pregnancy option clinic and a white castle....

the pregnancy clinic looks like it was a house that was redone
so perhaps like 10 yrs ago or whatever it was something else, like someones house or a possible recording studio or something

General Comment:Well it's interesting to point out that if it were about Jesse Lacey than the directions would match perfectly, because Jesse Lacey is from Levittown, LI and if he were to go in that direction by Sunrise Highway he would have to go east. To say go east is specifically pointing out someone non-the-less because that's pretty much in the middle of sunrise highway. So lyrically he's pointing someone out. I know all of these directions cause I work in levittown and live in Massapequa Park. Which is where the directions lead you.

General Comment:Oh and by the way, there is NO Carmen's Avenue. It's Carmen's Road. They needed to rythme I suppose.

General Comment:My friend followed this. It leads to their old recording studio, but on a tree that says "Jesse and (uh.. what's the girl's name?)" in a heart. Yeah. I live like 5 minutes away from it.
