Some will learn many do
Cover up or spread it out
Turn around had enough
Pick and choose or pass it on
Buying in heading for
Suffer now or suffer then
It's bad enough I want the fear
Need the fear cause he's alone

(And he has become)
He's alone
(And he has become)

Well if they're making it (making it)
Then they're pushing it (pushing it)
And they're leading us along
The hassle of (hassle of)
All the screaming fits (screaming fits)
That panic makes remorse

After all what's the point
'cause levitation is possible
If you're a fly achieved and gone
There's time for this and so much more
It's typical, create a world
A special place of my design
To never cope, or never care
Just use the key cause he's alone

(And he has become)
He's alone
(And he has become)

Well if they're making it (making it)
Then they're pushing it (pushing it)
And they're leading us along
The hassle of (hassle of)
All the screaming fits (screaming fits)
That panic makes remorse

Over and over a slave became
Over and over a slave became
Over and over a slave became
Over and over a slave

Well if they're making it (making it)
Then you're pushing it (pushing it)
And you're leading us along
The hassle of (hassle of)
All the screaming fits (screaming fits)
That panic held before

Well if they're making it (making it)
Then you're pushing it (pushing it)
And you're leading us along
Like a cancer caused (cancer caused)
All the screaming fits (screaming fits)
And their panic makes remorse

My Interpretation:Based on the Video the song the R may also be a play off of "Reality" and it shows how this guy stuck at his desk feels about all the things that please him sensually. The Call Button is the only window out of his prison but there is nothing for him see. The Shark represents his accomplishments but they are not really there only dreams and ambitions. The TV is all static yet he watches it like the useless garbage that it is. The Girl in the Magazine is his angel, but he never gets to meet her because she is too far away.

I think alot of times a band writes a song about a particular thing and then expands on it, and broadens the meaning.

General Comment:On a radio interview they said this song is about that one guy in the mosh pit who is always trying to actually hurt and kill people, instead of just trying to rock out.

My Interpretation:I want to say that this song is about corporations, possibly a political song about their views on republicans, but this is just my interpretation...

General Comment:this song is amazing. idk but when i heard it i was suprised that its so different and his voice is just wow. i cant stop listening to it. you can tell they know what they are singing about, its like they have a passion for it and the lyrics are poetry rather than some punk band singing for fame. and this song im still confused about, i can see where it can be about drugs and also a few other things like bulimia and anerexia and drug addiction and any other addiction. basically how ppl are going crazy cuz of their addictions

General Comment:Ok, Chevelle is NOT a Christian band! Early in their career, they were accidently signed to a Christian label. Look it up! And the boys even joke about it now, saying "We're recovering Catholics." And for those of you who don't know, this song's about a friend of theirs who was misdiagnosed with ADD and perscribed Ritalin. He developed an addiction to it, and ended up suffering side effects (he'd drive around aimlessly for hours to hear a song on the radio). THAT'S what it's about. Sorry I sound like I'm freaking out, but I hate when people say they're a "Christian" band, and I'm pretty sure they would too. By the way, I FUCKING LOVE CHEVELLE!!!! THEY KICK ASS!!! :D
