Lyrics for Amerika (english) as interpreted by Shoot_Me

Amerika (english) Lyrics
We're all living in America
America is wonderful
We're all living in America
America, America

When there's dancing I want to lead
even if you're whirling around alone
Let yourselves be controlled a little
I'll show you how it really goes
We'll make a nice round dance
Freedom will play on all violins
Music will come out of the White House
and Mickey Mouse will stand in front of Paris

We're all living in America
America is wonderful
We're all living in America
America, America

I know moves that are very useful
and I will protect you from missteps
And whoever doesn't want to dance at the end
doesn't know yet that they must
We'll make a nice round dance
I will show you the way
Santa Claus will come to Africa
and Mickey Mouse will stand in front of Paris

We're all living in America
America is wonderful
We're all living in America
America, America

We're all living in America
Coca-Cola, Wonderbra
We're all living in America
America, America

This is not a love song
This is not a love song
I don't sing my mother tongue
No, This is not a love song

We're all living in America
America is wonderful
We're all living in America
America, America

We're all living in America
Coca-Cola, sometimes war
We're all living in America
America, America

God, I swear when most morons see the word "America" in a song they automatically think it's all anti-american well this is straight from "The Edge" magazine..

"Basically, Rammstein has never been political before, or ever, but while recording this album, the Iraq war was going on and we were confronted by the flood of media images and coverage, and thought that we could make a statement that things are not black and white, like you're made to believe sometimes," says Reidel. "People should realize that things are not black and white, and people should look at their own country to see what they think, and look at how America has influenced their own country, how they've Americanized the world, and what about America is good and bad."

I LOVE IT!!! this song is a perfect example of how stupid our country is and how stuck up we are. and the whole point of singing in english is to show that everyone speaks english. they're mocking us and our lifestyle and when you take a step back and look at us, they're right. all us americans care about are the simple, less important things in life that only affect us. we don't care about things we do that might affect other countries

A lot of people would actually love to live in America. I seriously don't think people realize how lucky we (americans) are to live in America.

haha this song is great. It's not as anti-America as all of you are making it out to be. Maybe a little mocking but for the most part no. The video kicks ass too.

it is an anti american theme, but not blatant like others, so anyone that is pro american gets fooled into thinking its pro american, its sarcastic, very sarcastic

AuburnAltBabe is right, it's meant to be ironic, not political. Not many people actually hate America, most of the hostility arouind the world is directed towards the things certain Americans do or the things America has come to represent. And it doesn't help that most americans don't seem to realize that.

I do think a lot of the time, people group the American people and the American Government together, forgetting that while there are a lot of war loving rednecks, there are also plenty of people who didn't ask for their name to be trodden into the dirt, by oil hungry little Crackers like George Dubya.

I really don't think this song is meant to be anti-american, its more mocking than anything else, which is not the same as I hate america. To set everything straight this is directed towards american ecnomics, mcdonalds and other american corporations are not controlled by the government that's what you call communism.

The whole point of the song is that we're all dancing to the same tune, the world over, and that tune is Americanisation. The analogy is comparing American-style capitalism to a dance. And if any countries don't want to follow this dance, they just don't "know yet that they must". It certainly is against the US foreign policy, though more subtle and ironic than some other anti-American anthems.

Just wait... They'll be Starbucks in Afganistan (If there isnt already o.O), Macdonalds in Iraq (Again if there isnt any there already) and those "I <3 NY" T-shirts being sold in North Korea. Its saying that if you dont follow the American Way, you will be made to follow the american way! Fucking class song, I like the "This is not a love song" bit, stateing the obvious ^^
