I agree, this is probably the best song on the album. My favorite part is when the music gets really quiet and the chorus starts.

Love this song. Just everything about it is great. I agree with placebist. The sad mood is awesome.

One of the most beautiful songs on the album.
If I listen to a song enough I start to imagine a story, so this is my interpretation of it.

I think this song is about a boy and a girl who loved each other, but the girl had some emotional problems that she didn't want him to know about, preventing her from getting too close to him. As a result, the boy is confused and breaks up with her. On this day it would have been their one year anniversary and he realizes he never meant to let her go. If both of them had a chance to go back to that one moment where they were both in love, she would have told him everything, and he would have never let her go.
Sorry if I messed up the whole self explanatory part. :-)

I love this song. What more can I say? The lyrics do seem to have meaning to it. It is very romantic.
I suspect the song was written for one of The Cure's member's girlfriends/wifes. Or maybe not. I don't know much about their private lives. And I have no will to; for I'm sure it's meant to be that way.

Yeah of all the sides the Cure showed on the self titled album, this is my favorite side, this and Lost are the best songs on the album.
