Say it's the same sun spinning in the same sky
Say it's the same stars streaming in the same night
Tell me it's the same world whirling through the same space
Tell me it's the same time tripping through the same day
So say it's the same house and nothing in the house has changed
Yeah say it's the same room and nothing in the room is strange
Oh tell me it's the same boy burning in the same bed
Tell me it's the same blood breaking in the same head

Say it's the same taste taking down the same kiss
Say it's the same you
Say it's the same you and it's always been like this
Say it's the same you
Say it's the same you and it always and forever is
Say it's the same you
Say it's the same you and it's always been like this
Say it's the same you
Say it's the same you and it always and forever is
Say it's the same you
Say it's the same you

Yeah tell me it's all the same
This is how it's always been
But if nothing has changed
Then it must mean

But the sun is cold, the sky is wrong
The stars are black, the night is gone
The world is still, the space is stopped
The time is out, the day is dropped
The house is dark, the room is scarred
The boy is stiff, the bed is hard
The blood is thick, the head is burst
The taste is dry, the kiss is thirst

And it's not the same you
It's not the same you
No it never was like this
It's not the same you
It's not the same you and it never really is
It's not the same you
It's not the same you
No it never was like this
It's not the same you
It's not the same you and it never really is
It's not the same you
It's not the same you
Oh it's not the same

This isn't how it's always been
Everything has to have changed
Or it's me

General Comment:I know that they aren't related, but Labyrinth always reminds me of the book Coraline by Neil Gaiman, what with the themes of feeling like things have been replaced.

General Comment:The song to me appears to be some person who's otherwise realized just how stagnant his life has become.
And that while with even the one he should love and care about,
    something seems wrong.
And out of the sense of being out of place, he begins to feel as if he's tripping, his mind is warping.
He's not sure if this means he's crazy, or if anything has changed, including in himself.
So he asks himself desperately to be sure this is the same thing he's fallen in love with.
But then he's not sure at all, again questioning himself:
    Say it's the same you
Say it's the same you and it's always been like this
    Say it's the same you
Say it's the same you and it always and forever is
    Say it's the same you
Say it's the same you and it's always been like this
    Say it's the same you
Say it's the same you and it always and forever is
    Say it's the same you
    Say it's the same you
Yeah tell me it's all the same
This is how it's always been

    But if nothing has changed...
    Then it must mean...

And as he questions himself, he realizes how starkly different and unfamiliar things have become to him,
what he used to love is alien and grotesque:
But the sun is cold - the sky is wrong
The stars are black - the night is gone
The world is still - the space is stopped
The time is out - the day is dropped
The house is dark - the room is scarred
The boy is stiff - the bed is hard
The blood is thick - the head is burst
The taste is dry - the kiss is thirst
And what finally takes the last straw is the person he should love and confide things in has become some other grotesque warping of what he used to be content with.
And it's not the same you
    It's not the same you
No it never was like this
    It's not the same you
It's not the same you and it never really is
    It's not the same you
    It's not the same you
No it never was like this
    It's not the same you
It's not the same you and it never really is
    It's not the same you
    It's not the same you

But like a true artist, and as screamingly real to people's emotions, Robert left a questionable ending:
    Oh it's not the same
This isn't how it's always been
Everything has to have changed... Or it's me...

It makes you wonder if he was imagining this all.
True to the feelings of people becoming disenchanted with love and life and things they think they should be happy with.

General Comment:A song about change. The lyrics refer back to an image from the song "Push":

    Exactly the same clean room
    Exactly the same clean bed
But I've stayed away too long this time
And I've got too big to fit this time...

General Comment:At first I was pretty sure that it's a song about someone going insane. But this morning, I thought of something else...what if it's about somebody who has a fever, and that fever is causing them to go insane, they don't know if they're dying or if the world is ending (pardon the run-on sentence). When you get a high enough fever, you will go into convulsions...Either way, I think in general this song is about a person going insane and being lost in their own mind.

General Comment:I think that the title explains everything. a person feels he is in a "Labyrinth". totally lost, confused, desperate.
What he sees in the present, has no connection with what he remembers from the past. well, maybe I'm overstating a little, but it makes me think of... Ariadne's thread. As long as we hold the thread, we feel safe. Apparently the times (or he) have changed too quickly and he got lost.
Anyway I think that He has changed, that torments much stronger.

General Comment:It's like "Lost". Being lost inside yourself, and can't keep up with yourself. "It's not the same you", he is changing, so are you.

General Comment:You know how you used to be really close to someone, and then you don't see them for a long time somehow, then when you finally see them again, you realize that they have been living their own life this whole time, without you, and they have changed from the person you used to know. (that was a total run on sentence!)The author is desperate to know if things are still the same between these two. But it's not, because time has passed, and the other person is not the same person they were back then. Everything has changed, or is it the author himself who has changed?

General Comment:This always reminds me of The Kiss off of "Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me", really has that same overwhelming dark feel about it. Apart from this time he's not screaming "I wish you were dead!"

General Comment:I don't find this to be a sad song at all. I think it's someone surprising him with a change for the better against the odds..
Yeah tell me it's all the same
This is how it's always been

    But if nothing has changed...
    Then it must mean...

He says if nothing's changed then all the bad things.. Something changed, and there's improvement..
    But maybe I am whacky...

I adore this song.. As far as I am concerned, Robert Smith & Co. can retire and unretire when ever they want. I have not always understood him, but I have appreciated them since Disintegration..

General Comment:this song to me is about the feeling of being alone and stranded when everything around you is changing, including you, but you dont notice yourself changing until everything has changed again.
